Ever heard of Zenza sp 35mm camera ?

2002-04-08 Thread Prasanta Chakraborty

Has anyone ever heard of Zenza SP 35mm SLR camera ? This one has
got ZENZA written on top of the pentaprism and is completely
black. The mount is screw (probably 49mm).
Any info please.

Prasanta.

Re: Flash Sync. Speed,

2002-03-24 Thread Prasanta Chakraborty

I think I am the only other Z-5 user. I use a 330-FTZ flash unit
and the camera always shows 250 as flash sync speed with either
the built-in or 330-FTZ. I will go home today and find the user
manual if it says anything about the analog flashes.

Hakuba Carbon tripod

2002-03-22 Thread Prasanta Chakraborty

Well, I am back from my Japan trip. I went alone and so I could
take the decision on a mere 3 hours and after 3 visits to
Yodobashi camera at Shinjuku. I bite the bullet and bought the
Hakuba MG-604 Carbon Fibre tripod. This is the 4 section one.
Though the three section one was much more sturdy, it was a bit on
the heavier side and a bit taller. My justification was, it is
better to compromise some features for a tripod which you can
carry, rather go for one with all you want and leave it at home
because of the weight/size.
At a price of 19000 yen, it seems to be a good buy to m e. I am
testing it this weekend. Will update the list about the
performance next week.

Which Spotmatic ?

2002-03-11 Thread Prasanta Chakraborty

Well, after some time I am back to Japan and in my first visit to
the local camera store, I picked up a used SMCT 200/f4. A bit
battered on outside, might be that the lens was opened by the
previous owner for cleaning but with a burgain proce of Yen 3000,
I thought I should give it a try. Now, to test it I need a screw
mount body, I have seen two Spotmatic on the rack one is normal
Spotmatic and the other one is Spotmatic F. What is the
difference
? Which one should I buy ?
Also how much should I pay for a SP in good shape with the meter
working ?

Regards,
Prasanta.
