I'm off
boy, now =there= is a straight line... Couple things: I had the extreme good fortune to receive a visit from the currently hobbled E Reed, late of the PDML, and her entourage, including spouse and two exceptional offspring. It was truly an honor for me. It is possibly true that young Mrs. Reed was overcome at the sight of the actual computer where I compose many of my bon mots and general non sequiters , as well as perform much chicken-waving. Or it may simply have been the stupendous amount of mess spread about the office that made her swoon. I'm out of here, gang. Off to the mtns of North Georgia to take part in the annual game of guess-the-neice-or-nephew's-name so you can tell it to move from in front of the television. Ah, Thanksgiving. Be good. Take pictures.

I've been an occasional contributer here for a while, so I guess I should say something before unsubscribing. I start my clinical rotations for med school in a couple weeks so I'll have increasingly less time to deal with list volume (and unfortunately also less time to spend w/ photography in general). I've learned a lot here over the last couple years, so I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone on the list who has helped me out from time to time. Yes, even those of you who helped empty my wallet through your discussions of so much "enabling" equipment. I imagine I'll be back at some point, I hope things don't change too much around here before then. -Matt

Well gang, It's off to Yosemite for a day and caving for a day. Wish I had longer. Anyway, taking the big 67 and a bunch of film. Hope to have an enjoyable time and actually get a few good shots. We're going cat-sitting (as if you could make a cat sit). Well, really it's house-sitting but we'll be looking after the four resident cats, and maybe even have a bit of a holiday as well. I'm off for the weekend
Heading up to Portville, NY tomorrow for a weekend with Nate's parents. We're going to the Wellsville balloon festival on Saturday and I hear that on Monday we're going to Letchworth State Park. Needless to say, I'm bringing a fair amount of gear with me. Yesterday I went to Adorama to buy eight rolls of Fuji Superia 200 and 400, which I had great results with last year. Catch you guys when I get back! --Amita - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions. Re: I'm off for the weekend
Hi, Amita, Oo! Letchworth State Park! I've been camping there many times, and it's gorgeous! "The Grand Canyon of the North", it's sometimes called. Of course, it's not ~nearly~ as big, but it is quite lovely. Bring your hiking boots, 'cause there are lots of terrific trails going up and down the gorge. And, if memory serves correctly (haven't been there for about 10 years), there are three waterfalls along the gorge for some wonderful photo ops (as if the gorge itself isn't enough). And if you have the time or inclination, at one end of the Gorge, is the town of Geneseo, which is very pretty. Check it out if you have the chance. I didn't have a camera the times I went there, so I'm looking forward to seeing your pics posted. Sounds like you'll have a great weekend, with the balloon festival thrown in there too! Have fun. regards, frank Amita Guha wrote: > Heading up to Portville, NY tomorrow for a weekend with Nate's > parents.
