I didn't meant to scare you. I wouldn't get rid of the 28-70 f4.0 for
several reasons. In it's class it's a very well balanced lens, sharp
but not tack sharp wide open at f4.0, very sharp stopped down to f5.6
and only gets better as you stop down to f11 or so. Optically it's
better than pretty much any other Pentax "Normal" Zoom except for maybe
the F 35-70 which is surprisingly good as well. It exhibits good Bokeh,
It's lightweight, so your back won't pay a big price carrying it around
with you. It's better corrected for CA than a lot of more expensive
lenses. But, to that point it's just not very expensive. You won't get
a lot selling one, of pay a lot buying one even in EX+ condition. If I
were you I'd stop worrying and just enjoy using it. Just be aware that
it could go bad at any time, and I do mean that, my first copy of this
lens was perfect one day, and the rear aspheric element just came apart
with the lens sitting on a shelf. Bottom line, is that if the dreaded
separation did happen, I'd easily pay the going price for one in decent
condition to replace it.

Now I need your advice. I have the FA 28-80 f3.5-5.6 as well. Should I
keep this one and sell the 28-70??
Thanks in advance.

Isn't there some rule about people starting their own pun threads?

Nice sharp photo. My only beef is the obtrusive fence wire...

This is the PDML we don't have no stinkin' rules...
