Re: PESO - 'Not to be forgotten'

Thanks Bob.

It could benefit from better light but the facility doesn't open to the
public untill 9 am, 3 hours after sunrise but I was pleased to have some
cloud cover.

Its very sobering to read the headstones as to the places the veterans
served.

Ken,
Excellent, interesting photo of a difficult subject.
You got a good sky for the background and an excellent composition.
The rows of headstones with flags gives way to a field of gravestones in
back.

A nice homage to the personal sacrifices and the enormity of the losses.

Thanks Dan.

With that particular image I was simply trying to get both the markers and
the flags in the same scene but in a different take than showing the front
of the markers.

That is a strong composition. I am certain I would have placed the
camera so that the central row of markers formed a straight vertical
line, but your angle of perspective works better than than.

Thanks Paul.

I was at the cemetery for around 2 hours and had explored all the areas
before I picked 3 spots that seemed promising. The image posted was among
the last taken. On review of all the images I saw many scenes that I didn't
fully explore but I'm quite happy with the one posted.

Well done. Beautifully composed. I can only guess at how difficult it was
to arrive at a frame and perspective that worked here.
