Re: PESO Keep out

2019-04-29 Thread John

It depends on the jurisdiction. Yaquina River is in Oregon, so ...

https://www.oregonlaws.org/ors/105.700

Technically, it should mean the landowner has registered his "No Trespassing"
order for the land with the appropriate local government; usually a County
Sheriff or the Fish, Game & Wildlife department (whoever hunting regulations in
the state).

That's rarely actually done. It's just a generic "No Trespassing" sign you can
get for a couple of $$ at the local feed store. The wording is archaic dating
back to legal codes from colonial times.

More fundamentally, it's a legal notice that means you can't sue the landowner
if you trespass on that rickety bridge, fall through and hurt yourself.

Re: Peso-Keep Out

Looks like the rancher doesn't bother opening the gate, but just runs over it.
The gate damage is, of course, a large part of why I shot this.
Also, as Mark astutely pointed out, the reseeding fence restates the contours
of the land.
Much appreciated comments, Bruce.
Thanks!

Thanks, Jack.

Actually, it took me a while to figure it out, since it seemed to be saying
Keep Out of a bunch of weeds. :-) There was a falling apart shed there, that
said Ducks Club, so I guess it was for that. Shooting ducks, in other words.
On a little hill right near the wetlands.

In fact, that's why I wanted something to stand on, it's so high it was hard
to get a decent shot of it. If combo me + stepstool puts me up high enough
and I can get a good enough shot of the shack, then I won't need this
particular fence photo.

Thanks for looking. Marnie :-)

Sorry - doesn't do anything for me. The fence itself is too light-colored
and vague, and that ugly mass of brush/thatch!

PESO - Keep Out

2007-05-07 Thread Eactivist

I am debating the idea that fences might fit nicely in my series theme.
Collage/montage type of thing. Anyway, have a lot to shoot the next two weeks
and
I may explore fences a bit.

I found this slightly amusing.

Does it do anything for anyone?
