Re: PESO - more elaborate in isolation - DougB

2020-05-17 Thread Paul Stenquist
I’ve been working at home for 12 years, so I’ve had plenty of practice. I work
10am to 4pm, five days a week. Rarely more, although I will if necessary. All
my employment is contract work so I have plenty of motivation to get it done.
The last two months have been very good. I just hope it continues.

2020-05-17 Thread Doug Brewer
I can relate to this. I'm pretty much the poster boy for Non-Essential,
which the current state of the universe has only emphasized.

Of course, if I'm not shooting, I'm not getting paid, but there have
been enough shifts in Dougworld lately to fill my time with stuff that
needs to be done, which has given me plenty of opportunities to sit and
stare.

So it goes, indeed.

I’ve come to the conclusion over the last seven weeks of working at home that
that’s what I’m paid to do.

Staring at the things I’m supposed to be doing rather than actually doing them
seems to make no difference to the state of the world...

So now I spend a lot of time putting off doing things I shouldn’t be doing
instead of staring at the things I should be doing. And that doesn’t seem to
make much difference to the world either.

Kurt Vonnegut Jr. would have loved all this.

So it goes.

Nice photo, Doug!

Not to put too fine an edge on it, but if you want to discuss Doug's lovely
photograph, please change the subject of the thread when you respond. I track
and auto-filter all the responses to posts about photos I've offered for
viewing based on subject, and now I have more than ten posts that have nothing
to do with anything I have posted. It's good netiquette to change the subject
when the focus of the conversation has moved away from the original intent.

Thanks!
