Re: Blocked by Smart Fitler
I have the same problem at my work (actually, I've pretty much stopped looking at photo.net photos because of this) - I think the workaround might be to just give them the link to the photo. For example, I can't view your page, but I can view this link to your first photo: http://gallery.photo.net/photo/6115807-md.jpg So there you go - your page is categorized as nudity but the individual photos may be fine. --skye On 6/23/07, J <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Listen to this..Where my wife works, she was going to the page were > my photos are on photo.net www.photo.net/photos/pjjdxn and she > received a ERROR which said: The following error was encountered, > Access denied by Smartfilter: Forbidden, this page > www.photo.net/photos/pjjdxn is categorized as: Nudity -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net

Re: Blocked by Smart Fitler
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... Sorry wrong story. A long time ago when I still wrote communications software, I was sitting at my desk and one of our companies salesmen called to get my assurance that a particular board would plug into the system bus of the Small System Controller, (it wouldn't the SSC was based on an IBM PC ISA bus the card in question was S100). I asked why? Apparently he'd sold a SSC with one of those cards and the customer was complaining that it wouldn't fit. He wanted me to tell them that they were wrong. I literally, fell off my chair, and after I picked myself up off the floor, told him to take is problem to the hardware engineering group. graywolf wrote: > And to most technical types the salesman sounds like an imbecile. > > graywolf > http://www.graywolfphoto.com > http://webpages.charter.net/graywolf > "Idiot Proof" <==> "Expert Proof" > --- > > > P. Well, it would seem then, employers are easily satisfied with pro-forma compliance. I've yet to see one of these filters that can prevent someone from getting to pornography if they really want to. Re: Blocked by Smart Fitler
Lets see now, Smart Filter forces you to look at Internet Porn, (and some other sites that it stupidly filters), at home. Adol Filter seems to have started a Second World War, megalomaniacaly, attacked the still Mighty British Empire, and the Soviet Union, (the country with the largest army in the world), at the same time, and to top it all off declare war on the then highly isolationist, but righteously pissed off USA somewhat later, all the while systematically murdering 90% of the Jews in Europe and any other group that the Nazis thought of as undesirable. So, not so much. Now I hereby invoke Godwin's Law and declare this thread dead. One famous example was blocking the American Cancer Society because some of their pages use the word "breast" fairly often. Here in China, all of Flickr has been blocked recently.
