Placement is ok.  You should have asked it to look at the camera and hold its

Great feather detail, and I really like the bird's attitude.  As for
where it is in the frame, it's a bit too centred for me.  I find those
trunks on the left really heavy.  I'd cut them out completely.

But that's just me.

Placement is ok.  You should have asked it to look at the camera and hold its

I'd crop the left side right at about the edge of the tree and the 
bottom just below the y in the branch below the birds right foot.


probably just below the dangly bit of bark.

I see so many alternative crops. The good thing is that te file seems
very robust, it's almost usable at 100%.

One moment I likes the three at the left forframing, next moment I don't.
Maybe I just need to give it some more time.

An attractive bird, great background, nice rendering. You might look at 
cropping from the right and top of frame to remove that last branch coming into 
the corner. That would serve to move the bird a bit more off center as well as 
cleaning up the shot.

I like this one very much, Tim.  The colors are strong and clear, and
the angle of the branches adds a lot of interest.  I would crop or
clone out the thicker branch in the upper right, and maybe part of the
tree along the left side.
