Re: high iso experiment
Thanks everyone! The last photo was a victim of an in-camera creative filter and in-camera processing—so, yes, the color is off. Re: high iso experiment
Good experiment. The noise even contributes these images. Perhaps I should also consider using ISO values higher than my comfort zone. Thanks, Attila, but I was shooting to keep the noise—that is, incorporate noise into the picture. Weird perhaps, but it was what I was experimenting for. :-). Re: high iso experiment
That's not bad at all, and you can improve them with a quick noise reduction in ACR / Lightroom. For even better results you could try noise reduction on each channel individually in PS, but that's not quick anymore. I like the first 2, nice framing! high iso experiment
Hi Everyone: On the way to Newberry Library the other night, I tried a few high ISO shots at 51,200—and in some cases added a bit of flash, which was dialed down to EV -2.00. The metadata is listed above each photo. There are five images here--(virtually as shot)— with a tarted up version that follows to make for a total of 10 images. Clearly, there is noise, but I have to say, I was still surprised with the quality given the ISO. I plan to do more experimentation—kind of fun. http://www.caguila.com/highiso/index.html Cheers, Christine -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
