Memang benar untuk semua crew yang akan join di overseas mulai tahun ini hanya bisa membuat kartu KTKLN di bnp2tk Ciracas. Syaratnya hanya membawa Pasport, Buku Pelaut, PKL, dan visa entri (if necessary). Persyaratan diatas berlaku untuk TKI cuti (lebih tepat memperpanjang kontrak sebenarnya). Bila anda TKI formal dan berangkat tanpa proses yang dilakukan PJTKI/PPTKIS, perlihatkan juga kontrak kerja anda dengan perusahaan dari Negara penempatan. Bila anda adalah TKI cuti, cara lainnya adalah anda mendatangi PJTKI yang memberangkatkan anda sebelumnya. Minta bantuan mereka untuk menguruskannya. Sebelum KTKLN dengan keras diberlakukan oleh BNP2TKI, TKI cuti (baca: TKW penata laksana rumah tangga) yang bermasalah kerap merepotkan PJTKI. Kasus yang umum adalah seperti ini: usai menghabiskan masa cuti, sang TKI terbang kembali ke negara penempatan tanpa datang ke kantor PJTKI untuk memperpanjang kontrak. Masa berlakunya asuransi sudah usai. Tapi sang TKI tak memperdulikan itu. Ketika sang TKI tertimpa masalah pada masa kontraknya yang kedua, semua pihak akan mengeruduk PJTKI
