[Phono-L] Over a thousand cylinders for sale...
Hi there... Music Library Finland (www.MusicLibrary.fi) has a lot of surplus items - over 33,000 (!) that it is looking to sell (or trade for items more suitable to its core collections). Of these, over 1000 cylinders (and there are many more trays to sort through when we have some space). The cylinders may be found here: http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/cyls.html Prices are "suggested donations" as we are not a "record dealer". Of course you are welcome to pay more as all funds will help sustain operations/further acquisitions and if you really do think we are "having a laugh" with a price suggestion, tell us. As long as you don't offer a penny your suggestion might be considered… especially with a larger order. We'd rather fill the storage space with items core to the collection anyway. All prices are in Euros (approx 1 EUR is 1.45 USD, 0.85 GBP). Payment may be by Paypal, cash in whole bills, bank transfer and of course suitable trades). Items are located in Finland (surface mail shipping is an option to help save costs). Please use the "contact us" form on www.musiclibrary.fi or send me an email. It is important to cite both the reference number and the title of the object(s) of interest, i.e. 33123456 Andrew Smith/A Wonderful Day. Postage costs can, of course, vary and you can have input on how items are packaged (more packaging = more weight = more costs). We can pack a cylinder in a one metre cube of packaging material if you wish to pay :) But we won't stick it in a regular envelope without a signed disclaimer ! The master link to all items (on our web site) is here http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/ These files will be updated (with new material, also) on an ongoing basis and the "updated" date is always shown on the preceding index page. Each section has a PDF file that can be be downloaded (Internet technology and fat fingers at this end permitting) Items include: Transcriptions/16" Records Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/16q-records.html 33rpm LP Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/12-inch-lp.html 45rpm Singles Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/45rpm.html 10-inch 78/33rpm Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/70-records.html 12-inch 78rpm Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/1278-records.html Books & Paper/Periodicals Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/books.html Cassettes Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/ccs.html Compact Disks Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/cds.html Children's Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/childrens.html Classical Music Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/classical.html DVD Check Disks Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/dvds.html Library and Production Music Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/lcd.html Sound Effects Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/7sfx.html Microfilms Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/micros.html Reel to Reel Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/rr.html Salvation Army Music Surplus List http://www.musiclibrary.fi/items-for-sale-ex-libris/sa.html Hopefully, you will find something of interest :) Please do pass the list around. I've checked several of our reference books and UCSB to no avail, but from /somewhere/ we had got a claim the following /were released/ (to put them on our "needed list" but now we cannot substantiate they were existing (a couple of other reference works are en route by sea with a lot of other parcels). Re: [Phono-L] re mirek and his prices
As an outsider here, when I read the original message thread I wondered, not knowing Mirek, whether English was his first language as I can understand the lack of "finesse" that might otherwise appear. I make no comment on his shipping and product prices as they are outwith my knowledge. Re: [Phono-L] The Cylinders Have Been Sold!
This reminds me, for the benefit of the list's European members (might be easier for postage) a list of a few items surplus to Music Library Finland can be found here (of course, will ship worldwide on request). Select phonograph cylinders from list. http://bit.ly/apzstk Rgds, Darren On 9 mar 2010, at 01.55, DeeDee Blais wrote: > Thanks, my 56 cylinders have been sold.
