Re: [Phono-L] question for purple cylinder
In response to Rob M's enquiry:I would suggest that most real Royal Purple cylinders (29,000 series with correct purple color) sell these days for $25 to $50 each, and some for considerably more, depending, as usual, on the selection/artist and the condition. Certain catalogue numbers and artists are easier to obtain than the rarer ones. Add extra dollars for an in-tact matching Royal Purple box and even a little more for a matching Royal Purple lid. The correct boxes and lids are rarely found with the records. ggur...@hotmail.com To: phono-l@oldcrank.org From: zonophone2...@aol.com Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2012 05:04:23 -0400 Subject: Re: [Phono-L] question for purple cylinder Just out of curiousity what is an average price these day for royal purples -Original Message- From: Steven Medved steve_nor...@msn.com To: phono-l phono-l@oldcrank.org Sent: Tue, Jul 24, 2012 12:03 pm Subject: Re: [Phono-L] question for purple cylinder Bob, They are not common and sell for more. Bob, I checked my Edison Blue Amberol book by Dr. Deakins and found #3790 Everybody Wants A Key To My Cellar by Al Bernard, listed on page four. I have couple BAs that look like a deep darker purple and one royal purple #29062 that is a very nice lighter shade of purple. Joan In a message dated 7/23/2012 1:03:06 A.M.
