It looks like you have a constraint in your table, ie some of the values
must correspond to another receord of another table for example... Could
you post a MySQL description of your table ?

but the output doesn't. if I save in Unicode, which notepad advices me to,
then the code cannot work and all the output regardless of the IF branches,
are output-ted. What else can I do?
The strange thing is that when in Unicode format, the PHP code doesn't show,
only the outputs are displayed.

There must be a command which handles this kind of thing. It's
not explode(), it's not in_array()... I know what I'm after, but I just
can't come up with the search term or phrasing which will allow a search
engine to help me find it.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?

The way I do is, on the result page, to create a variable (for example $done) and I put to into the session. So if this variable already exists, I don't re-execute the form treatment code.
