Thanks!

 Hi

All build logs for doc.php.net are now available on http://doc.php.net/logs/

The folders are -MM-DD-HH, and the server builds everything
currently 6times a day (we could increase that.. it only takes an hour
 to build everything..).
Currently it keeps the history forever.. :P

You can easily see which languages are being built, which formats and
why its failing, and whatever you'd like to know.

Again, the script is it git[1] if you'd like to change anything.

Please do not hijack threads for completely unrelated issues.

You can still submit patches even though you do not have an account.
Currently there are 4 outstanding patches for the pt_BR translation,
none of which are from you it seems.

And once again, thank you for the hard work on the docs Hannes. Do you
think some sort of interface (e.g something like Logstash) would be of use
for logs readability?

Yep, I agree we can't be dependent on just one person. If no one

forward.

Agreed, I also vote we do this move. Kudos go out to Jacques for the
many years of hosting but thankfully the doc team now has its own box
to do the work. The pb11 box can handle both livedocs and the various
doc tasks, namely, revision-check.

There is no need to worry about the bus factor since Jacques

Re: [PHP-DOC] doc.php.net

2005-06-07 Thread Gabor Hojtsy
Today, in a revision break I have been browsing around the various
PHPDoc related websites to remind myself what is available and I was
thinking that although there is a lot of information, it is not all
centralised in one place. I also think it is also quite confusing for
anyone new to start contributing. Coming back to an idea I had a month
or so ago to write a quick start guide, I thought it might be worth
gathering all the stuff that is available and putting together a full
resource site. I think the best place to do that would be on
 http://doc.php.net/

For example, there is the most up to date guide (I could find) at
http://doc.php.net/php/dochowto/index.php but the main php.net website
links to http://www.php.net/manual/howto (which seems to be the same
thing). There is also http://wiki.phpdoc.info/DocLinks and the useful
 tools at http://www.phpdoc.info/meta/

My idea is to gather all the resources available (with the permission
of the owners) and put them all on http://doc.php.net/ with links to
everything on that one site. I would also like to have a quick start
guide available from the homepage so that it will make it easier for
phpdoc members to find everything but also assist new people.
Presumably the php.net website can then link to the doc.php.net site.

 What do you think?

Good idea :) This is why we have started that site! We just need some
hands to do the porting of the scripts and information.

BTW php.net/manual/howto is supposed to be removed by now, I don't know
why isn't it removed already. Derick, can you do anything to get that
removed?
