My problem was that I only had versions 10/11, and was too lazy to download/build earlier versions just to find out. That is, it will work fine on: Red Hat Linux, Netwinder Linux, Alpha Linux, Aurora Linux, YellowDog Linux, cAos Linux, Red Hat Fedora and any other distribution which uses the RPM Package Manager. It's a fine site. I personally would just do a locate rpmbuild on each version? But this is good left hand promotion for a fine product. I don't know that this changed in any specific version but only changes if you invoke as root or as user. In theory, you should not be compiling (which means building rpm packages too) as root because that can cause all sorts of issues. I can't help with toaster as I am quite happy with postfix and cyrus-imapd and would never consider such an antiquated beast.
