[SlimDevices: Plugins] 6.5 Alien BBC problem
I've upgraded to 6.5 and re-installed Alien BBC and all works fine except I am not getting the additional Alien streams (or the facility to add or delete stream items within Alien BBC). The basic streams are all working fine. The menu items seem to be within the Plugins folder but there doesn't seem to be a way to add them to the display menu. Hi Thanks for that explanation, I'm beginning to get to grips with this functionality. One more question, if I may: last night, for some reason I haven't worked out yet, I managed to leave a copy of softsqueeze playing the same song on repeat - all night! So it now shows as having 204 plays. I'd like to manually adjust this number as it doesn't reflect the number of times I think I've played it! Is there any way to do this (preferably without poking around in the innards of a database)? I'm seeing similar behavior w/ latest plugin on SB3 and current 6.5. I navigate to the LastFM menu w/ currently playing title. This is item 1 of 6. When the screensaver activates, I press left arrow to 'jump back' and it takes me out to the main menu item (LastFM). I then need to right arrow back to the menu I was on before the screensaver. I'm not sure (I did change a line in this area, but only because it shouldn't have been doing anything), I would always press down or up to get back to the LastFM menu... What does that do? LastFM on my SB seems to just stop reasonably often (perhaps an average of once an hour..) I assume this isn't normal? This sounds like a problem at the LastFM end. They would probably suggest taking out a subscription as that (supposedly) gets you preferential treatment on the streaming servers athough I rarely have trouble connecting as a non-subscriber. I've just upgraded my QNAP to SS 6.5.0 and added the 'All-in-one' plugin pack. With 6.3.1 the WeatherTime screensaver was working perfectly, now I've upgraded to 6.5.0 it just sticks at the 'Weather Format Loading' message. I've checked all the configuration settings, which appear to be okay, having been carried over automatically from the 6.3.1 installation. I cannot be certain which version of the plugin is included in the QNAP distribution - the version number is only ever reported as 1.0. SlimCD is running since month on my computer and I would like to update it with Slimserver 6.5. Depends on how you installed SlimCD: did you install to disk, frugal, USB stick? You'll have to update the whole image or at least perl and slimserver. SlimCD is installed on an USB pendrive. If I look at the slimupdate.pl file, it seems to me that the version is verified using a file on your website that still reports 6.3 as the latest version. James, There seems to be something wrong with iTunes update and the newest iTunes. The last two days I've gotten an error message along the lines of Server Error: Method - Get Version Number. I'm sorry I didn't copy it down. I'll do so next time and post it here. Also, my iTunes is throwing some kind of failure as well. I could have sworn that it worked at least once or twice but I could be mistaken. Yep, I did this because I did not want to have to update SlimCD every time a new release came out. Studied this a little more: any keystroke (up, down, left) after the screensaver activates goes to this display: Playlist (1 of 1) LastFM I then need to navigate out to the main menu and back into the LastFM (1 of 6) menu?? That sounds like the screen saver is at fault - are you sure you have the 'jump back on wake' screensaver selected? If you were in the LastFM menu before it kicked in, I would expect it to return you there. Now I can imagine the change I made recently leaving you in the parent menu to LastFM, but not in the playlist! I've just downloaded Biography for 6.5 and the official 6.5.0 release, and the Biography related stuff appears in server settings - Plugins, but I can't work out how to actually read the biogs on the web interface. I'm using fishbone. The reason recently played statisitcs isn'r restored is that TrackStat also keeps a complete history log in the database where there is one entry for each time a track has been played. To restore the Recently played statistics you will also need to completely remove the desired historyentry.../historyentry entries from backup file. [SlimDevices: Plugins] SlimScrobbler plugin not recognized by SS 6.5.0
Hi everybody, I just upgraded to SlimServer 6.5.0 on my PowerBook G4-500 running Mac OS X 10.4.7. I downloaded and installed the latest SlimScrobbler plugin from http://www.jamescraig.co.uk/SlimServer. (The file name is SlimScrobbler 0.36.zip, although the readme file still says it is 0.35.) I put the whole folder into the plugins directory (according to instructions in the readme file) within the SlimServer preference pane (SlimServer.prefPane -- show package contents -- server/plugins). I also tried to put the plugin.pm file directly into the server/plugins directory, as I did before with earlier versions. Either way it doesn't seem to be recognized. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
