[SlimDevices: Plugins] XMRadio.v1.0 patched for Slimserver 6.5
After tracking down and applying patches found in various threads in these forums, I managed to get the XM Radio v1.0 plugin working reasonably well in Slimserver 6.5. Here is the XMRadio v1.0 archive with the patches in-place. Patches give: 1. core functionality in Slimserver 6.5 2. a fix for the "no password box" 3. restores artist-track metadata display None of this is my work, credit of course goes to the original plugin author and those who developed the patches. Kudos to "JoeBob" who has continued development of the plugin. I hope that he gets his enhanced version working in Slimserver 6.5, but until then... Take TechHome's zip file, apply the fixes in the .txt files to Plugin.pm, and use the two pm files from his patch instead of the ones in Phil's original plugin. -- jarome jarome's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1223 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29510 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM - Track details ??
Curious if anyone else is experiencing difficulty w/ receiving track details? I connect to server w/o problem and can select stations via the web interface but the "Waiting for LastFM track details..." stays on. This is recent behavior so maybe a problem at the LastFM end? Recent tracks do appear on Last.fm webpage. Updated plugin to latest version but still see this behavior. Which it seems this does. > > Are there more detailed instructions anywhere? > There is some information in the included README.txt, if you have any specific questions just ask. What I do is this: 1. I did a one time import of all iTunes rating using the TrackStat plugin once a long time ago. This made all my iTunes ratings available in my Linux based slimserver through TrackStat. 2. SlimServer continously logs all changed ratings and plays(play counts) in a text file through the TrackStat plugin. 3. Occasionally I run the TrackStatiTunesUpdateWin.pl script with the log file from step 2 as inparameter on the iTunes client computer. This will transfer all changed play counts and ratings to iTunes. Step 2 and 3 can also be done through the iTunes Update plugin in case you can access the music file at the same path both on iTunes client and slimserver server. This should be possible using a UNC path like \\computer1\myshare\mymusic if you are running a Windows server. If you are running a Linux server you will have to use TrackStat and set the "MUSIC DIRECTORY (ITUNES EXPORT)" setting in TrackStat to the directory on the iTunes client computer where the music is. Step 1 can be done using standard slimserver iTunes plugin if you are running the slimserver server on a Windows computer and use UNC paths, if you are running slimserver on Linux you need to use TrackStat and set the "MUSIC DIRECTORY (ITUNES IMPORT)" setting in TrackStat to the directory on the slimserver server where the music is. If you perform rating on both slimserver and iTunes the playcounts and ratings will not be merged completely correct. If I remember correctly it uses highest play count and last changed rating if iTunes/slimserver data doesn't match each other for a specific track. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.homeip.net) 'My download page' (http://erland.homeip.net/download) (Developer of 'TrackStat' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-trackstat) , 'SQLPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-sqlplaylist) , 'DynamicPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-dynamicplaylist), 'Custom Browse' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-custombrowse),'Custom Scan' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-customscan) and 'RandomPlayList' (http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-randomplaylist) plugins) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20533 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: Announce: New XM Radio Plug-in
In these forums I found all I needed to patch the original v1.0 XM plugin to work in SlimServer 6.5. Functionality in 6.5 incudes artist-track display. There is one glitch that is not resolved...the XM stations launch paused, you will need to navigate to "now playing" and press play. Perhaps these patches will also work with v1.1? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Fishbone's email plugin help
Just installed Fishbone's email plugin, version 1.42 Running SlimServer Version: 6.5.0 - 9916 on Windows Server 2003 Problem I'm having is there's no alert for new mail. I've left it playing music, I've left it simply showing the clock (after music has stopped). I've not tried an audible alert. Settings are for 5 minute check. When I go to plugins on the Squeezebox, and select the POP3 email browser plugin (press right arrow) it shows the (test) email I sent. Delete the email, and send another test (with a different Subject title), again, no alert appears on the squeezebox. Go back to the squeezebox itself, and go to plugins/pop3 email browser, and it's still showing the Subject of the previous test email, yet the content is from the new email. Any ideas on a) Why no alert? b) Why the subject isn't updating, but content is? This seems to be exactly what I need - running itunes on one computer, squeezebox on a server (where the itunes music files are held). The holy grail would be having the play count / ratings tracked in slimserver for occasional sync with itunes. Which it seems this does. Are there more detailed instructions anywhere?
