That is the correct path - it does not map directly to a real path on your

2008-05-15 Thread mdeweger

Hi James,

Your help is really appreciated.

OK, the path is correct. Any other clue what I'm doing wrong with
v1.1.10?

I deleted the older version of the plugin, then unzipped the plugin in
C:\Program Files\SqueezeCenter\server\Plugins, then I stopped and
restarted SqueezeCenter, and in between I emptied the cache (deleted
plugin-data.yaml from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\SqueezeCenter\Cache).

And v1.1.1 is working.

misleading since I mixed you up with Sune who asked that same question

Answer:
iPeng native: probably yes.
iPeng plugin: at least not for all cases since you will depend on the
browser to keep the page loaded which it doesn't infinitely.

However, as a workaround, could you try this:

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=292073postcount=73

... and give me some feedback on whether it worked? If that's a yes
you could just setup a link on your iPod or add one to the toolbar and
the plugin page of iPeng.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 forSqueezeCenter 7.0

2008-05-15 Thread Craig, James (IT)
Sorry, no idea at this point!
I believe the only difference between 1.1.9 and 1.1.10 is that the maximum
version number was changed so that it would work on v7.1 and 7.0.1.

You did say that the web interface is not available in v1.1.1? Doesn't sound
like that's working properly either to me!
(I suspect that's because the method used to register as a 'radio' plugin
changed name a while back)

Have you checked the logs for any errors?
Try enabling the d_plugins logging setting, with the 'save on restart'option,
then restart SqueezeCentre.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 for SqueezeCenter 7.0

2008-05-15 Thread rams

Hi there

I've read this thread from the beginning and end up to the same point:
the same 404 error. I tried all suggested fixes and hints I've read
here so far, to no avail.
I had a (working) slimserver installation before, with the (working)
slimscrobbler plugin.
Though my server is running under linux, I suppose it is the same
issue.
I did another check, though, thats why I'm posting here. I set the log
level to debbuging for this plugin and always get this error:

[08-05-15 09:32:34.1259] Slim::bootstrap::tryModuleLoad (266) Warning:

Perhaps this could be of any help? Or is ist perl-config related?

By the way: I use squeezecenter ver 7.0.1 and squeezescrobbler 1.1.10a

Thanks for your reply.

Richard

I have not seen this error before so I will try and find out what's gone wrong.
It looks like a typo in the plugin.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Updater Functionality

2008-05-15 Thread jrfuda

Couldn't find a feature request area so figured this would be the next
best place to post...

It would be great if there was an updater utility within SqueezeCenter
that checked all lugins againsts current versions and offered you the
option of updating them, kind of the way FireFox does occoasionaly.

This would greatly automate the maintenance of SqueezCenter.. The
average user would only have to navigate to the updates section of
SqueezeCenter every once in a while and SC would do the rest... search
for updates to both core and 3rd party software, let you know which are
available, let you pick which to install (and be smart enough to ensure
you have the proper prerequisites for various plugins, like another
plugin or version of a plugin). It could even offer plugins not yet
installed - be a catolog of every plugin available and manage
installation and uninstallation of them all. Once you pick the updates,
additions and unistalls you want, SC downloads 'em, installs 'em and
restarts. This is especially useful for folks who run their SC on a
headless device.

Any talk of this functionality or something similair being added?

Thanks!

IIRC The functionality had been planned for 7.0 but the Plugin manager
was delayed. I'm not sure whether it is still planned or just delayed.

Enhancement requests should be posted to bugs.slimdevices.com as an
