The display coming back on, not sure what's up with that. Something happening in the new SqueezeCenter. It doesn't appear to actually be coming from the plugin in anyway, so I need to track down why the server is resetting the brightness and how to get around it. I have a problem with the new version of the WeatherTime plugin turning the display back on when it is set as the powe off screensaver. When I power off, I can see the screen blank due to Auto Dim, but then after the screensaver fetches the weather info it changes the brightness back on to show the results. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Be careful with musicip tags
I just set up musicip and decided to have it tag it's values to the songs so that they would still be right if I moved the files. When you do this it warns you about doing m4a files. I read into it and it sounded like it might affect them if you use Itunes or air..the wireless system. I don't use either and I also had all my files backed up so I just let it got at it. Well all said and done it wiped about 25-30 albums worth of tags. The weird thing is that they were also mp3 albums. Not sure if it was because they were right after a m4a album or what happened. I did this after all my music had been analysed not while it was doing it. Not sure if that would have made a difference. Just wanted to let people know that it's probably a good thing to have your music backed up if you do let it tag your music. I think it broke when 7.0 became final as it worked with the 7.0 betas, I am on version 7.01 now and have the latest build from your web site of your program. Thanks for trying to help. I had a play at doing the work to merge these 2 at the weekend with mixed success. I got it so that DynamicPlaylist was registering custom playlists with ExtendedAlarm. I could then select these in the settings page and that all worked ok (found one bug which I can forward to you if you want). At Alarm trigger the box woke up and called back into DynamicPlaylist and seemed to be all well. The problem was that the playlist didn't actually *do* anything. I could see it load it, and from the debug that worked successfully, but it seemed to freeze rather than begin playing. I tried a few simple workarounds like adding in a regular play command after the callback had been called, but to no avail. I can confirm that I could play the playlists normally so it's not a configuration issue. I'm guessing I've done something fairly silly, as I'm a relative newbie at this - just wondering if anyone had any tips. Seems like it's close enough now it'd be really handy to get it finished off! [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezecenter and LADSPA
Does anyone know if someone has tried to create a SC plugin for LADSPA? http://www.ladspa.org/ I see there are a huge amount of filters implemented for this here: http://plugin.org.uk/ladspa-swh/docs/ladspa-swh.html This could be used to emulate tube amps, vinyl and other fun stuff:) If not, does anyone know of any immediate reasons which would make this impossible to implement? Was thinking about trying to make a plugin, but would take some time to learn the ins and outs of Squeezecenter API to output sound to ladspa and then get it back into SC for outputting to the Squeezebox. Haven't coded much in Perl either, but it looked pretty OK knowing C and Java. Hi. I just installed the lastest version of this nice plugin. Works great running the 7.1 beta. However, being used the SuperDateTime plugin I really miss the size of the current temerature information. Sitting 10 feet from the player it's impossible to see the current temperature. It would be great if that information could be displayed before the time with the same size as the time. Here we go - named obviously! I've tagged my changes with a comment of # sk33ve so you can see what I did easily. Briefly - DynamicPlaylist: - Added a call to ExtendedAlarm in initPlaylists to register our custom playlist. - Added a callback function which looks up the playlist name to find the id then plays it (obviously this bit isn't working right! :-) ExtendedAlarm: - Small bugfix as it was trying to use strings($key) instead of $key for the custom playlist name. There's something weird happening. Sometimes, after I've pushed pause on the remote, the Squeezebox resumes LastFM play again. This sometimes happens after 5 mins, sometimes much later. I think it broke when 7.0 became final as it worked with the 7.0 betas, It definitely does work for me. While there's not a bar indicating the buffer, there's a percentage displayed. I've just uploaded the very latest v4.1 which adds icons for the sleep mode, indicating the (rough) time remaining until player will go to sleep. It is some of the same, but while brutefir uses FIR filtering, LADSPA seems to have no limitations on what it can be used for. Would preferably not start to create lots of filters and tweak them to get good performance:) On the other side, Klaus has done a tremendous job on the brutefir drc plugin, so I guess much of the code he has made can be reused(since it's GPL). There are 2 command, buffer, which shows the percentage and bufferbar which used to show the bar. The percentage one still works. Well finally had to resort to Leopard's Time Machine (so cool!) to go back a few days to sunday, when I know my SuperDateTime plugin was working. I restored my SqueezeCenter Preference Pane from that day and now I am back in business! I have no idea what went wrong, on the Beginners forum it was suggested that plugins go in the Library/Applications Support folder not the Preference Panes folder but when I tried that I still didn't get the SuperDateTime loaded.
