Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer 0.9 - with UK and Non UK Support

2010-03-23 Thread ian_heys

Can't see any text on Radio 4 FM and 5 Live Sports Extra today.

Haven't been checking systematically - may have been since last
update.

Running v1.1.2 on Ubuntu 9.04 with 3 x SB3's.

Anyone else seeing this?

It's a different file. It is named "superdatetime.prefs" On winxp it
is located here:

"c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Squeezebox\prefs\plugin"

MusicMagicMixer 1.8 GUI works on my Gentoo Linux system.

Does ~/MusicIP/lib/MusicMagic.so have execute permissions?

If you are using something which works with the Linux GUI, then I
understand filters can be created in the normal way using the GUI.
However, if like me you're running headless only, then filters are a
problem. I've tried several things including copying the default.m3lib
to another machine, creating the filters there, then copying back, but
no luck yet.

The quest for this 'use case' is exactly how I ended up finding this
thread. I used MIP & SqueezeCenter on Windows for a few years but have
just switched them back to Linux. I completely forgot about the filters
I had set up until Christmas tunes starting appearing in mixes...

I can't get the MusicMagicMixer 1.8 gui to run on Linux yet - it's
complaining about NativeEngine.

acodr...@mythbackend:~/MusicIP$ ./MusicMagicMixer
Cannot load library: NativeEngine

Any and all hints about how to create a filter on Linux with the MIP
v1.8 software, or how to get past the NativeEngine problem would be
heartily welcomed.

Sorry if this has been answered, but this thread is too big to read
every page.

If I buy the duet receiver will I be able to do all the stuff needed to
connect it to my network via an ipod touch and ipeng?

Sorry if it's a stupid question, I have minimal experience of
squeezeboxes and no experience of apple products or ipeng.

Thanks in advance.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Moose - Cover Art Browser Truncates Album List

2010-03-23 Thread indifference_engine

Hi,

I have noticed that the Cover art Browser in Moose does not show the
last row of albums if that row is not completely filled. eg If the
screen is sized to show 10 album covers per row and I have 50 albums
then they all show up but if I have 47 albums then the last 7 are not
shown.

I am using the latest version of Moose with SBC7.4.1 but have noticed
the same issue with older versions of Moose & SqueezeCenter.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] CustomBrowser and TouchToPlay ?

2010-03-23 Thread bluegaspode

I was just confused by navigating a custom-browse menu on my Radio.
I'm very used to TouchToPlay so expected to have a song start after
clicking it. In a CustomBrowse-Menu this opens the options of the track
(which I'd expect on the '+' icon).

Furthermore in the original library menu, when a select a song from an
album, after the song has finished, the rest of the album is playing. It
doesn't do so, when the song was started from within a CustomBrowse
menu.

Are there any options, to make a CustomBrowse-Menu behave consistent to
the main-library-menu ?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2010-03-23 Thread pippin

Hm. This works for me (albeit using 7.5). If you are seeing the same
thing with the controller it's probably something in the way the
playlist is being delivered.
Do you use the Dynamic Playlist plugin or something or straight MIP?
Also: How do you play the mix, through the "play this mix" item?

Hi,
First suggestion would be to change the plugin.iTunesUpdate logging setting to
Debug to see what's really happening.
