[SlimDevices: Plugins] Skip track when silent
Is there a plugin that can skip forward to the next track when it's been silent for, let's say 10 seconds? The use for this would be to auto skip when you have songs with a hidden track inside. i.e. a few minutes of no sound followed by the next song. -- markstrom markstrom's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17691 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89633 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

On machines running Linux, it is possible to automate this sort of behavior since there are system scripts that get run at the time of halt, sleep or hibernation. You can modify those scripts, adding CLI requests that can direct SBS and players to jump through any hoops you wish. But, as far as I know, there is no autoexec.bat for sleep on windows. Thus the need for a new, separate utility. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Remember: SrvrPowerCtrl was designed to provide a replacement power management utility for a _stand-alone,_headless,_single-purpose_dedicated_audio_server_. I've extended it in the past year so that it is a little more system aware, and it's now capable of monitoring network traffic as part of determining idle conditions. I did that using example code from epoch1970 and primarily for my own purposes. My _stand-alone,_headless,_single-purpose_dedicated_audio_server_ now runs a dlna service serving up video. Darn! Now can someone apologize a 100 times in this thread so that it breaks the #2000 mark anyway?? If you want SBS to integrate the power events loop of an OS, ask Logitech support. Not plugin developers. This could make the control panels included in the Mac and Windows distributions actually useful, BTW. If you want multi-library, location independent, music service, ask the same. They'll cloud you that in a jiffy. Those using a (mostly) dedicated music server and looking to cut its consumption from 24/7 (ie no power management) to just on-demand (ie smart PM according to scheduling, SBS and player states) will find srvPowerControl an incredibly useful and flexible plugin. On Moose Version 0.76 Copied library.db before Rescan/Update C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Squeezebox\Cache\library.db Updated all Thumbnails in Caches Album art appears in Moose Library, and Moose Cover Chooser. Toggled though all options in Cover Art group in Now Playing Tab in properties, but no observed change (no album art) in now playing. Hmm Turned on Moose logging and I see messages like GetImage Get: http://127.0.0.1:9000/music/112318/cover.jpg?player=00:04:20:06:5a:76 EXCEPTION: UpdateCoverImage - (file:///F:/Lossless/T/Tzuke, Judie/Judie Tzuke - Left Hand Talking/04 - Left Hand Talking.flac) (Left Hand Talking) (http://127.0.0.1:9000/music/112318/cover.jpg?player=00:04:20:06:5a:76) EXCEPTION: UpdateCoverImage - Parameter is not valid. whereas http://127.0.0.1:9000/music/8700bf22/cover and http://127.0.0.1:9000/music/8700bf22/cover.jpg?player=00:04:20:06:5a:76 (derived from the album art in the Web UI Will show the right album art in a browser. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Scan and 7.6
PasTim;649812 Wrote: I have turned off all automatic Custom Scans, and now run them manually when I need to. I had to do this because I quite often add tracks and play them straight away (via Music Folders) to make sure they are OK. SBS does a short scan which runs OK, but then if Custom Scan is configured to kick in after an SBS scan it stops SBS from responding or being able to play music. Just to better understand the real problem here, could you look in the server.log file and see how long time it is between the log message saying: CustomScan: Synchronizing Custom Scan data, please wait... And the one saying: CustomScan: Synchronization finished I'm interested in the time it takes between these two log messages both at Squeezebox Server startup and also after a Custom Scan operation has started due to browsing by Music Folder. -- erland Erland Isaksson ('My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info)) (Developer of 'many plugins/applets' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/User:Erland).
