[SlimDevices: Plugins] Album Flow Applet - Artist name not Appearing
Hello I am not sure if I have posted this to the correct area. I have downloaded Erlands Album Flow Applet and license manager and obtained a trial license. I have installed the applet on the Duet Controller and also the squeezeplay Beta desktop controller. On the Duet Controller I can scroll through the albums according to the chosen sort method (Albums by Artist) For some reason it will show the cover with the Album title but not the Artist name, yet I can see in Erlands example page (A DAY WITHOUT RAIN shows ENYA with it) so unless it is part of the Album title I would assume the artist should appear separately. When it runs in screen saver mode I have the same problem. On the Squeezeplay controller I have 2 problems. The first is that I cannot get the Album flow applet to run (for browsing) even though it shows it as installed and licensed.(When I press Album Flow it causes Squeezeplay to freeze and I have to shut it down). The applet will run as a screen saver BUT again without the Artist Names appearing. I am wondering if maybe it freezes due to the number of Albums 1000+ Artists 1600+ Tracks 15,000+ I have checked all of the locations and settings I can find to make sure Artist is shown but nothing seems to change the result. One thing I have noticed which may be of help. I have also installed Erlands Custom browse applet and I notice that when I browse using the default squeezebox browse by ALBUM it lists (in alpha order by Artist) both the name of the Album and the Artist under it. However using the Custom browse applet and choosing Album it appears to list the albums in alpha order by Artist but only shows the Album title (No artist name under it). Out of interest is it possible to run the Album Flow applet from the Logitech MediaServer Web Remote interface. It doesn't appear in the drop down menu. Yet custom browse does. [SlimDevices: Plugins] ipeng and CustomBrowse
I am experiencing a problem where if I put ipeng in add playback mode and press on a song, it appends all of the songs on the album into the playlist instead of just the one I pressed on. I only experience this problem if I am in a CustomBrowse menu. Also note that if I add the song from the song's context menu, it works fine, which is how I am working around the problem at the moment. I just started experiencing the problem in the last few days, so it might be related to one of the recent CustomBrowse updates as I don't think ipeng has been updated that recently. I have been able to get MOG to stream to my iPhone when connected to the Media Server (i.e., not squeezebox). Have got a duet connected wirelessly to XP desktop. Very standard set up. Haven't tried iPad but I would expect it to work. So while Rhapsody doesn't stream to iphone/ipad, MOG apparatently does. I was using mySB. I guess that Logitech/MOG do not permit streaming through the iPad or iPhone using iPeng's Playback feature as that would circumvent the subscription requirement for mobile use. Another question is why it is not possible to save a playlist through ipeng on the iPad. (the button at the bottom is greyed out). The Alarm Clock menu doesn't get updated when modifying or adding alarms. For example, when changing the days of let's say alarm 1 then the updated days don't appear on the Alarm Clock menu. The old values are still displayed. It does only update when going back to the Settings menu and then back to the Alarm Clock menu. Where did you "install" MOG? Could it be that you are using a Touch with a SB drive and that the touch was switched over to MySqueezebox.com? iPeng's playback does not work with MySqueezebox.com, Logitech doesn't allow that, you will have to switch the touch back to the Touch's local server. Very broadly speaking, first select the top 20 artists. Then select randome songs from those artists. This is done using a sub-query. This will select 10 random songs from all the top 20 artists. It is fixed by me going to the Player->MusicInfoSCR tab in the web browser (just selecting the tab - no need to change anything). It happens quite frequently to me but I'm not sure what pattern is yet. My server is set to go to sleep with no activity so it might relate to coming out of hibernation. When I first reported the issue I seemed to be getting log messages even when it wasn't working. In the last two experiments, I don't seem to get anything from those two plugins until they spring into life. I got Spotify 2.2.0 beta installed. (Copied the unzipped Spotify folder to /usr/local/zy-pkgs/gui/SqueezeCenter/Plugins and restarted the NAS). Now I can enter the Spotify settings but I can't get the helper app running. Squezebox Duet Music manager: *'MediaMonkey' (www.mediamonkey.co)*. The best music mgr for classical music (much better then iTunes). Now with "RegExp Find and Replace" you even can batch edit tags with *regular expressions*.
