Hey, I'd like to take part here as well ;) I've just tried to install InguzEQ and InguzDSP on Debian 6.0 (Squeeze) x64 and logitech media server 7.7.1 but I didn't succeed. The EQ shows up in the plugin list and on my player but changes don't affect the output. The web gui of the EQ doesn't work and I can't change the decoder to InguzDSP on file types. Any ideas? [SlimDevices: Plugins] LastFM
Hi. I have two squeezebox players a duet in the kitchen and a Radio in the bedroom. I have a subscription to LastFM and I can use this with no problems on the radio in the bedroom but not the player in the kitchen. I get a message that it's not available in my country. I live in Ireland. No. The problem here is the setup and control of the stream, has nothing to do with the actual playback. I have Logitech Media Server 7.7 running streaming to two SB3s without a problem. I want to run SqueezePlay on a few PCs located around the house, but for the life of me I can't get this software running. MusicIP does create a log file, log.txt. It is stored in the same directory as default.m3lib which is a more unique file name to search for. I was going to suggest trying a different version of Squeezeplay to see if it worked any better. I am running 7.5.1. Looking at the nightly builds page it is gone. The only one I can see is 7.7. i'm not sure the 7.7 isn't probably the same as the 7.5 (just recompiled or something). I've installed SP on 3 different machines (2 win7(64) and one older WinXP) and haven't had any issues yet. Doesn't sound like you can even get this far, but have you opened SbS/LMS and selected SP as the player in the dropdown menu on the right side above playlist? Also seems like it may be some sort of AV/firewall blocking things. I use MSE on all 3 machines, and haven't had to do anything special or turn off firewall. But some AV programs can be problematic. Inguz works with LMS 7.7.1 but I only use the equalizer part. The Eq only shows up right in Internet Explorer with Silverlight installed. Squeezeplay crashes immediately so it never gets to show up as an available player. I should have mentioned that I did install as an administrator - I tried installing several different ways... no dice. When it installs it says it's Squeezeplay 7.6.2; this was the .exe available on the LMS 7.7 nightly build link. I tried loading LMS 7.7 on the same PC where I installed Squeezeplay, but got the same failure message. The message faults MSVCR90.DLL, but that DLL is correctly located in the system32 folder and registered. I loaded the latest Java per the instructions on the Wiki. I believe this is a Windows problem and not the fault of Squeezeplay. My network setup is a Win 7 server hosting LMS 7.7 and two networked PCs running on a gigabit LAN through an ASUS RT-N56U wireless router. The failure message says it's a BEX (Buffer Exception) error. I thought this might be related to Microsoft Net Framework so I did a repair and then a reinstall - same outcome. I'll try running down the suggestion that it might be a blocked firewall issue. It's also possible Windows updates might have removed a needed file - I never trust the update process. I'll report back as I do some more digging. Others on this forum have reported the same problem, but there was no resolution I could find. I really want to keep using Squeeze software - it's a pain to get working, but once it's up and running it's been very reliable for me. I was trying to use this to forward my Player to an alternate server when shutting down. The logs show it trying, but all that happens is the Player turns on and off several times then goes blue. I'm unable to connect to anything until I turn the original server back on (which was the original problem I'm trying to fix). I unchecked anything to do with powering off the player but it still does. Any suggestions? I'm running 7.7.1 on Window 7 but also tried 7.5.4. First, thanks for your kind help - this was really perplexing. I resolved the problem. It is not caused by Squeezeplayer, it was a problem with my configuration of Windows 7. Specifically, I had old registry entries causing a conflict in accessing Windows Net Framework. I decided to bite the bullet and try to clean the registry before doing a clean install of Windows - I used ccCleaner creating a restore point first. Once ccCleaner was done I rebooted and tried Squeezeplayer again. I set Properties to always run as Administrator. It immediately fired right up, found my server and is humming away. Hope this helps someone else down the line! Now, obviously, here's my wishlist :D * Artwork does work in the list but not for NowPlaying * I would really love to see a possibility to use my SoundCloud account. So far I was only able to play SoundCloud links through iPeng which meant I could not store them in favorites so I stored them as favorites on SoundCloud... Definitely don't want to need to enter them all again... * Also, you don't use an OAuth token so far, correct? This means I can not use any links that will require an account, free or not, right? Let us know when you feel it's ready for general usage and we will add
this repository to the standard ones so users don't have to configure
it manually.
