...c:\.squeezeboxserver\PlugIns.] I have a ReadyNAS running 7.7.2. ??

IS LMS running on the ready NAS then the pluging must be on the ready
NAS C: is not on the NAS ??

Otherplayers does not have a repo so manua install it is (like in the
old days of slimdevices )

On my ClearOS linux the location is /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/Plugins or
/usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Plugins (that links to the other dir so it's
the same place )
in here you simply place the OtherPlayers folder with its content and
restart LMS .

Have a look on your NAS it may be a slightly different directory but a
guess is to look under /usr/share or /var/lib folder .

Do not use /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins it is for
plugins installed via repo .

If you are installing on the NAS make sure that permissions are such
that LMS can read the files .

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] No scrobbling from Deezer

2012-06-02 Thread terfelix

Hi there,

I have the same problem as nervoteso. Deezer works but scrobbling those
tracks to LastFM does not. Scrobbling from the Library(i.e. standard
sound files) does work.
I am willing to investigate this. So please tell me how to turn on the
debugging. Lets start with a simple question: Can this be done from the
web-interface or should I do this from the console? (Server runs on a
QNAP/TS-119 Linux-box)

[SlimDevices: Plugins] No LastFM scrobbling from soundcloud and deezer

2012-06-02 Thread terfelix

Hi All,

I have problems with LastFM scrobbling and certain music sources. I am
using the soundcloud and deezer plugins.
- Both work fine, i.e. I can listen tracks from those sources using
Squeezebox
- But scrobbling of those tracks to LastFM does not work, i.e. the
tracks simply don't show up.
- Scrobbling from the Library with standard sound files does work.
- Scrobbling of Deezer standalone, i.e. by using Deezer's web-interface,
does show the work as well.

I am willing to investigate this. So please tell me how to turn on the
debugging on the LastFM Audioscrobbler plugin.
Lets start with a simple question: Can this be done from the
web-interface or should I do this from the console?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2012-06-02 Thread onimod

Hi Erland

I'm having trouble making the web UI artwork choice stick for custom
browse menus.
Are these things managed by cookies? I recently reinstalled Firefox and
I think that caused the issue.

The web UI view always reverts to Small Artwork when the page is
refreshed despite my repeated choice for Large Artwork.
It is working for the non-CB menus.

I have tried disabling the CB menus to see if that creates a new cookie
but I haven't solved it yet.
Can you suggest what I need to do to fix the problem?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Beta version of SvrPowerControl

2012-06-02 Thread Snoopy81

Hi,

Thankx for this great plugin!

I installed SrvrPowerCtrl (beta) at my SqueezeboxServer7.7.2 (on
Debian6.0.4). Now I've two questions:

1: I would like to use the CPU-load option to prevent the server from
going to suspend when working with the server. My CPU-load is around 0.1
at idle and between 0.2 and 0.8 in part load. How can I set the value to
0.15? Obviously only integers are allowed.

2: I use the server as multimedia and internet desktop as well. So I
wrote a little script to prevent suspending when I work with epiphany or
amarok. That is my code:

#!/bin/bash

declare -i progactive
progactive=0
progactive=$(pgrep epiphany || pgrep amarok)

if (($progactive0))
then
exit 1
else
exit 0
fi

This works well except epiphany or amarok crashes. Pgrep still returns a
PID. Anyone knows a better solution? I'm not a programmer anyway ;-)

Thanks a lot.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2012-06-02 Thread EvilWhistler

Hi Pippin and everyone.

I know I only posted this problem a couple of months ago but I still
can't resolve it so I thought I'd re-post it to see if anyone has any
new suggestions.

Equipment Software:
- 2G iPod Touch running iOS 4.2.1 and iPeng 1.5.2
- SB Radio with v7.7.2 r9963 installed
- PC running LMS v7.7.2 r33893

Problem:
- 'Now Playing' art does not display in iPeng when playing music from
local library, regardless of whether the iPod or the SB is selected as
the player. Thumbnail art does display, as does full screen 'Now
Playing' art from internet radio (if available), but when playing any
music files (flac or mp3) stored locally on the PC only the blank
CD/disc image displays.

- All artwork properly displays on the SB Radio and on the PC running
LMS.

- All my music files are tagged with 500x500 jpg art and stored in
folder with 500x500 jpg folder art.

- It worked perfectly for over a year and now doesn't and I really miss
it.

I apologise for posting this issue again, and if no solution can be
found this time I promise not to wait another couple of months and post
it for a third time!

Thanks everyone.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2012-06-02 Thread pippin

I seriously have no idea what could be causing this, especially since
the NowPlaying artwork is usually rather more reliable than the
thumbnails since only a single artwork has to be loaded at a time.
Also, the empty case is something the server sends as a replacement
for the cover instead of an artwork, if iPeng simply could not load the
artwork you would see a musical note on a dark background.

The server seems to feel incapable to send the artwork in the size iPeng
requests which is 960x960 pixels or whatever smaller size the original
artwork had, so even issues with the scaler can't really be related, the
server would just have to send the original image. Not that I would have
thought it's the scaler because in that case you would have problems
with the thumbnails, too.

I know there have been issues with the server sending images in that
format but that's definitely fixed in 7.7.2 and even 7.7.1, I believe it
was only a 7.7.0 beta that was affected.

Also, neither I nor anybody else seems to have seen this so far, I'm
afraid as long as I can't get access to your server I have no idea what
to do.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2012-06-02 Thread onimod

Erland - aren't you supposed to know everything?!

I think I've solved the problem by editing a cookie.
There are 2 cookies named Squeezebox-albumView
One of them has the path as simply /. I presume this is the default
one.
The other one has the path /plugins/CustomBrowse/. I presume this one
is specific to CB.
There was no Content in the CB one so I edited it to match the default
one with a content value of 1.
The web UI then displyed the desired Large Artwork view.

Interestingly there is also a third cookie named
SqueezeCentre-albumView.
I don't know enough about how and when cookies are created to guess why
the CB cookie had no content or even why there are three very similarly
named cookies, so that's probably then limit of my help for now.
