On a related note, I just did a firmware update on my MBL Duo, which wiped out the LMS installation. I had no problems reinstalling LMS, and everything was running again in less than an hour. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotify via CLI?
I have a Spotify premium account. Since I have a SB Classic, in fact, several of them, I use the '3rd party plugin'. So far, so good. My question: Is it possible to control Spotify playback using the CLI (telnet) interface? Background is that my wife is severely handicapped, and I wrote several tools for her to be used on a special touchscreen PC. She can play music on the SB this way and I would like to add Spotify albums to the music she can play. It would be nice already if I could store some of the urls of albums that we played earlier, so she can play them again via het PC. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Newbie needing help with musicip please
Ok I have had my SBTouch for a few weeks now and am now starting to install some plugins. The Musicip one is one I'd love to have I have enabled it in server settings but I have not got a clue on how to even start getting it to work. I have set the setting to use musicip. There are so many entries in the Wiki and links to musicip seem to be broken. >From what I understand I have to install it on my pc as well as enabling it through Logitech media server.so the media server bit is done what next? Yes the music ip server has to run in the background on the same machine as LMS ( and be started before LMS ). Sorry to say it can be a bit tricky to get running MIP seems to be abandon ware :-/ we where all hoping that logitech would step up and find a replacement tool but no . Especially these day when any half decent music software can automagically whip up smart playlists ?
