Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MUSO - Support Thread
Morbeas wrote: Oh ok, so the playlist button is basically just a shortcut to the LMS web GUI. That's not that big a deal then. Ok so now onto something far more important: Muso doesn't catalog all the track artists, it just catalogs the ALBUMARTIST. I have quite a few albums that have more than 1 artist. As a matter of fact, every single track may have a different artist as in compilation albums (Best of the 80s etc). LMS, however, handles it properly. I can even search for guest artists (Apocalyptica featuring Sandra Nasic etc.). Just to give you an idea, LMS reports 1114 artists, whereas muso reports 441 album artists. The main reason I bring this up is because when I have muso export a website, it does not list all those missing artists. I must stress that muso is not an LMS web skin, it wasn't my intention that it mirrors the LMS database exactly, the design of the database and the way it collates tracks into albums is specific to muso, and is not intended to mirror the LMS database precisely - I simply offer an import facility from LMS into that database. What I call an Album Artist is also sometimes termed a Titled artist, and are those artists to which the whole of an album can be attributed - the catalog only lists by this titled artist, not guest artists. For example compilations appear under Various Artists rather than repeating for every single contributing artist. jezbo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9888 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91575 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
The option is no longer needed. In the past, iPeng always played a full album if you tapped a track in play mode (note: this only applies to play, not to adding tracks to a playlist!), no matter hoe Squeezebox Server/Logitech Media Server was set up. The reason for this was that the expected behavior for most people when you tap a track in an album is to play the whole album. That's what all other software I know does, but the Squeezebox - in the past - defaulted to playing only a single track. Now this has been years ago. Since version 7.4 of the server (so since 3 years or so), the default now is to play whole albums on the Squeezebox, too, so iPeng now simply uses the behavior as configured in the server and doesn't default to playing the whole album (by itself) anymore, so the option to turn that behavior off was no longer needed. If you want to play single tracks now, you have several options: 1. You ALWAYS only want to play single tracks? Change the default behavior in your server settings (In the web interface: Settings-Player-Play other tracks in album) 2. If you want to do this once: hold the track to bring up the context menu and select play 3. If you want to add a single tracks to a playlist, use add to end or add next mode (See Help-Quick Tutorials-Albums or playlists in iPeng). Note that the Add modes usually don't add full albums, the only exception being some online services where Logitech hard-coded the behavior of the server to always add the full album, here iPeng has no other option than to use the command the server provides. pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

For a few months earlier this year, for non UK users, the BBC had two verssions of live AAC streams (a 48k and 52k) with different AAC options. I think BBC now only has one AAC stream but I have seen Tunein produce playlists which includes both. If that is still the case and the first stream is now dead, the user will have to skip and/or press play twice to get to the working stream.
