Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
I think the 200 most recently played tracks stops the repeats. Is it possible to have an option to turn that off? Well, that's exactly what I mentioned above: this filter always applies, no matter what you set in the Most Recently played pref. And that's what I planned to fix/change in the next build. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Restarting the mix manages to extract a few more tracks to play but generally only about 5. I certainly don't get any tracks repeating from the same day... or the previous day for that matter. >>The mix is still given the >> list of the 200 most recently played IDs at the beginning of the >> playback though. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin
Not 100%. But if you set that pref to 0, then tracks returned by the mixer backend aren't filtered out any more. The mix is still given the list of the 200 most recently played IDs at the beginning of the playback though. I will disable this if the setting is 0 in a next build. Thanks Michael, either disable it, or make it an option? There already is an option: set the "most recently played days" to 0 and it would ignore that filter. Set it to some positive value, and the filter would apply. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Is it possible to turn that code off? There are a lot of tracks that I am very happy to hear often :-) Not 100%. But if you set that pref to 0, then tracks returned by the mixer backend aren't filtered out any more. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Yet another Remote Control Plugin - SBNetIO
Just skimmed your page to get an idea what it was... 433MHz communication via Pi... just got a new Pi from a pre-Christmas sale for cheap... hmm... interesting! Haven't run the plugin yet, but I could see some potential here for my own use! http://code.google.com/p/sbnetio/ Please edit the "Manual installation" section: don't install plugins manually to the InstalledPlugins folder. If ever a user decides to use the repository instead (which he should be doing to start with anyway) this can cause a lot of confusion. Better unzip it inside the installation's Plugins folder. Or remove that section all together. Users should stick with the repository. Devs should know where to put things to start tinkering ;-) -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Yet another Remote Control Plugin - SBNetIO
I just wanted to share a plugin I developed lately. I use it to switch my amps but it can potentially also be usefull for other scenarios as well. The project is hosted at code.google.com and I prepared a web page which contains all necessary information: http://code.google.com/p/sbnetio/ This is both, my first LMS plugin and my first perl project. In the course of development the Denon AVP Plugin was an invaluable source of information. Hope it is helpful for one or the other. Bug reports, ideas, questions, etc. are very welcome. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Windows 8 App
Thank you for replying so swiftly and for asking for comments, etc. As per my earlier posting: first-off I would like to see a release version number so that the user knows whether (s)he has the latest release and a link to any updates. You have already commented that I have a large (huge?) collection and hence some of my queries may relate to the size of the library (which is likely to get bigger!) Things I consider important: 1. Album title: when music is playing we see the artwork, track title and artist but nowhere does it show the album title. This is important for me because I break many of my ripped albums down into smaller works (e.g. the CD may have two original vinyl albums which I separate). 2. Track title: the text size is so small that it is difficult to read, especially when the red text clashes with the colours on the photograph underneath. 3. Volume: I find the program will often crash if I try to load albums or artists for scrolling. Hence I try now to use the Search function which works very well (provided I know what to search for!). But having chosen an album to play and started the music playing I then have go back six steps to the artwork page ... and this is where the volume is controlled. This can be inconvenient if the start is particularly loud/quiet. How can we control the volume more readily? Other: 4. Whilst the photograph and Bio information are enjoyable, their use is limited and I would prefer to see much larger Album artwork. Also, the Main Menu list takes up the bulk of the screen centre but is of little use most of the time - I would prefer this to be relegated to the bottom of the screen so allowing more space for the artwork and titles (album, track and artist). But this is just a personal preference. Many thanks for reading. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Alternative Web Interface (beta)
Great interface. I noticed new music isn't loading for me - just a spinning wheel. I have new music limit set to 500 items. Known issue, or? Also would be great with support for streaming services such as Spotify and WiMP - but maybe thats out of the scope? bhaagensen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7418 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98186 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

There was a bug on earlier Touch/Radio code which would cause native decode on the player to pop or glitch - if you are running recent LMS and have updated to recent firmware (e.g. 7.7.x) then I think this will be fixed. The bug is quite old as in I fixed it a couple of years ago. Otherwise try changing to wma output on the settings page and see if this improves it. The Touch and Radio are the only devices that can play AAC natively, which is what the iPlayer streams are. SB3 and Boom require AAC transcoding in the server. I'm sure I recall a workaround by forcing transcoding on the Touch and Radio, but since I don't have either I don't recall the details. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Windows 8 App
Is there any way you could integrate the standard Windows Media controls into this? I use the app on my PC and would like to control the audio via my keyboard (next/prev, play/pause, etc...) The web version of the interface doesn't offer these controls, so I got yours hoping that I'd be able to do this. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
I've been getting these since moving from SBS to LMS, so I think it may be a settings problem. Sometimes they are like a slight pop, other times a momentary dip in level (like a bad punch-out from the analogue recording days!) They only occur on Listen Again and can be as frequent as every 20 seconds, though more often I notice them every three or four minutes. Please can anyone tell me where to start looking? I've noticed similar problems mentioned in this thread, but no solutions. 7.4.1, 2 x SB3, 1 x Boom, 1 x Duet, 1 x Radio mberger's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22535 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
