There is no verification on the package because it has no signature.
Therefore you have to trust ' any publishers' in your DSM Package
Center.

-In DSM go to ->Package Center -> Settings -> Trust Level 'Any
publisher'.-

Did you do so.
Do you have any other version of LMS running on your nas, like in SSODS
or the official package? Please stop those and reboot your nas.

Hi Pinkdot

I have a small request about the "Defeat destructive Touch-To-Play"
This function running/accessible for "Radio", "Touch" and "Controller"
but not for "Boom" and "Classic".
Do you know if it's possible to include this for this platine because I
use the option "do not defeat" only.

Many thank's for your hard work.

Hi,

Since a couple of week, Qobuz has updated his App to allow the streaming
in High Resolution for the "Qobuz Sublime" subscription.

Is there any chances that the Qobuz plugin for Squeebox will allow in
any future to stream the Qobuz files in HiRes ?

At the moment there is only the option to stream in
FLAC/16bits/44.1kHz.

Thanks for your great job !

Looks like a deceptive question...

First off I removed the few favs I had there because I use them for
radios so I couldn't test if the player goes to the next item.
So I created a 2-song playlist from local music, and made it a favorite.
Then I added a third song from a local album as a favorite.

I've begun testing the same: trying to press 'play' on "Favorites" vs.
selecting one favorite, with LMS std web interface, IR/VFD on SB3, and
iPeng.
I expect to see 3 songs in the playlist, if the setting applies.

It doesn't seem to be really the case... and it's a bit complex because
the 3 interfaces seem to respond differently.
I need a little time to sort it out and report (I suppose no logs needed
this time, ask for it). I'll add to this post.

If you mean to ask whether iPeng plays all Favorites and you can handle
the menu in a similar way: It's a bad example.
I believe Favorites are indeed a playlist but I also know I had to
create a special menu type for Favorites since playlists in iPeng don't
work on a root menu level (no other main menu item in the Squeezebox
menu is a playlist).
OTOH: IIRC you've got an intermediate menu level in there anyway so that
means it should then work.

What is wrong about the current playlist display? The playlist display
is not generated by iPeng, it's generated by the server, do you men the

as starting, let me thank you for this plugin!
it was time and time i searched around for something to make lists of
album i'd like to listen to later...and that's it!
so, i really appreciate all your efforts! thanks!

as i started using it, i found few problems, for me and my personal use
of it...

first, when i start playing an album, often, if not always, it doesn't
start from the first track (for me it's tagged "01"), but i need to go
back in the playlist and start playing the numeber one...

second, at the end of the last track it doesn't delete the album from
the bookmarks list...maybe it used to do it at the beginning (i don't
remeber well..), but i managed around something and so now it doesn't
work anymore...
third, when i have activated smart mix option "don't stop the music",
the new songs added by that, are added to the bookmark playlist to, i
mean all the album...one playde and the album stay in the list after
that played...

sorry for being so "finicky"...as i say before, i really appreciate all
your efforts!

I don't know if moving it is worth it.
What is wrong is, as shown in the iPeng snapshot absove: hit "play all"
and then iPeng plays all. But the current playlist on the right is
incorrect. It shows twice the same song "The Beat Goes On", with 1st
instance playing.
It should have shown either (i) 3 songs (2 from "2-song playlist, and
the Buddy Rich song), and the 1st or 2nd song playing at the moment I
too the screenshot, or (ii) a playlist item + 1 song. Also there is no
art until the player reaches the last song, a side effect I suppose.
Because in my first test campaign I was harvesting the server.log I
rather closed the LMS web view than keep it open. To answer your
question, I re-ran the test and as you see attached, the playlist shown
in the web interface does not match the one in iPeng.

It looks like the issue may be something related to using "exec" .

sudo is OK for limited testing but it does not replicate the
"environment" of a user fully as paths and evironment variables created
on login are not the same as those inherited from a user using sudo.

I'll see if anybody has reported issues with exec command on Fedora.

"exec" can be a builtin command on some shells - what is the default
shell that LMS/queezeboxserver is run under ?

In the end I answered my own question by installing the evaluation

I've got a Spotify playlist with 4000 tracks on it that I'd like to be

If there is a bookmark for an album, that is the expected behaviour. The
plugin works like a bookmark in a real book (these things made from
paper). It jumps to the track and position in track where you last
stopped listening.
I wrote this plugin for audio books and radio dramas (because these are
sometimes are _very_ long and contain dozens of tracks, which makes it
difficult to remember the track and position in track where you last
stopped listening).

Is there really no existing plugin that would be better suited for this
"Listen Later" function you want?
If so, i could perhaps add an option that suppresses the jump to the
bookmarked position. Then this plugin then could also used to "Listen
later".

Would take a wile, though. At the moment i am trying to implement a
feature that makes it possible to bookmark remote tracks and this will
need some more time until it is ready for release.

That's strange. Could you check the version number of the plugin? It
should be 1.1.12. In previous versions there was a bug that prevented
the bookmark from being updated, when you just paused the album for a
while and didn't play something else in between.
Could also happen if you set the "threshhold" value to large. The
bookmark is removed if you're this number of seconds away from the end
of the last track of an album.

Yes, it may well be that in combination with other plugins, which also
manipulate the playlist of a player, there can be weird side effects.
Same could perhaps happen with shuffle mode, append to playlist etc.

Please make the cover art optional. I'm not a great fan, and for
classical stuff where tracks names can be long and numbers of artists
can be many, it just gets in the way.

My current configuration follows. I may have tweaked a few settings
since I last posted one for my M1 CLiC and CR 603. The names are
changed from the device ones because otherwise I get two identical
player names when I use the UPnP media plugin. The upmpd devices are
software ones that I don't use with sq2u.

Would you mind if I make that a config parameter not accessible in the
plugin GUI ?

Thank you, I'm integrating the mods in the profile.xml file. A few
questions

I think you can safely add aif to codecs b/c when pcm are supported
(means wav file in LMS) then aiff files are supported as well

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] New plugin for audio bookmarks

2015-08-23 Thread mikk64

Many thanks Sternenjaeger for your fast reply!
here I have some clarifications

I've searched for such a plugin for long...maybe someone who's reading
this can help...or if you will have time i will be happy to see this
implementation in yours.
Anyway, it did that "random jump" also with album that i've never listen
yet...that's the strange part of this behaviour...
I've installed the last one (1.1.12) and also "disable shuffle" plugin,
as you say, (1.0.1)...for the last one, i left the checks where they
were...is it right?

I left this one to zero...maybe is it better to change it?

So I disable this option, when i'd like to listen to bookmarks...
Anyway, as i said, thanks for this...for me it works as "listen later"
option...that's what i searched for! ;)

What would be the benefit of using wav or aif? According to what you
said a few posts back my M1 CLiC doesn't appear to support wav (seems
odd, but no matter).

I seem to recall that using pcm on my Marantz had problems at 24/192,
which the device doesn't support. I think the capability information
wasn't explicit, so I went with flac instead. If I get time I'll try to
do more tests sometime.

I have never used this, and I have no wish to do so. It would make a
terrible mess of classical music, which is what I listen to most of the
time.

However, others may want it
