Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)

2015-12-05 Thread n0rman0

This plugin looks fantastic, Chrome Cast Audios seem an ideal device to
use to extend my "Squeezebox" network, brilliant that you're looking
into this!

I'm trying to get it going on a CentOS server running LMS. After adding
the plugin I am unable to automatically create the log file, doing this
manually gets me further but the plugin is unable to run, constant
output in the log file of:

Retarting Squeeze2cast after crash:
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/CastBridge/Bin/squeeze2cast-x86-64
-Z -I -f /var/log/squeezeboxserver/castbridge.log -d all=debug -x
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/castbridge.xml -i
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs/castbridge.xml

Looking further I tried to execute the plugin on its own from the
console, following error on standard out:

./squeeze2cast-x86-64: error while loading shared libraries:
libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

It looks like I have a more update to date version of open ssl installed
(1.0.1e), is it possible to update to make the openssl import more
generic?

Hope I can get this working, think it'll be great.

Skip back has been so useful to me so far! For example, I can skip
back to the beginning of the news or an interview, without having to
wait to 'listen again'!

I can have a look but I don't think I forced a special version of
libssl. You can also, if you want to, recompile the whole binary to
match your platform, all sources are available. I think you can also add
libssl 1.0.0 to co-exist with 1.0.1e on your platform

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Airplay on squeezebox (for Windows)

2015-12-05 Thread jtuggey

This is a fantastic plugin. My knowledge of coding is limited to say the
least.
Is there anyway that using AirPlay, can direct music to a specific
squeezebox.
ie. Choose 'Lounge' or 'kitchen' when select airplay on my iOS device.
Alternatively, is there a way to sync all my squeezebox's to play the
iOS source.
As a 'dirty' way of doing it, I have tried to set up multiple versions
of ShairPlay4w in different folders, one for each squeezebox but Windows
will only allow one version of ShairPlay to open.

Many thanks.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer with DASH support - test version

2015-12-05 Thread Dean_Bayliss

Firstly what a spectacular set of developments - thank you for pulling
everything together and inspired DASH work.

With the previous HLS version, I'd added the various patches, which gave
the bbc/http derived on air text. If there was RadioViz available it
displayed that instead. [Only Radio1 & Xtra have a live stream- but also
gives different background slide].

I can't seem to get that to display with this version (clean build from
scratch Server and Plugin). I've checked it is live with
https://radiodns.org/developers/testing-tools/ and the source is
functioning (doesn't always!).

Is there an option I should have enabled - Server version 7.9.0 in use,
RPI2. Let me know if you need me to test anything or report log data.
Thanks again - for the fantastic work and all contributing.

I removed RadioViz as IIRC BBC said Radioviz was run as a user trial in
2011 on R1 and 1Xtra . I believe the trial has finished but service was
not turned off and I think BBC said effort was put into Radioplayer
instead to provide info for all stations.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2015-12-05 Thread Giza2020

I had hoped someone would be able to tell me how to sort out this bad
player issue but looks like I'm either in such a minority no one can
help or maybe I'm being stupid and missing something really obvious and
no one can be bothered to tell me :-)

But if anyone can help me work out why the synology lms has issues with
the bad player error.

I also have a pi lms server and all works perfectly so I'm assuming it's
a nas issue

I don't have a clue. But maybe it helps if you change the CLI port from
9090 to another, free port, e.g. 9091 or so.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer with DASH support - test version

2015-12-05 Thread Dean_Bayliss

Ah OK, the BBC website seems very quiet on the matter, I'd noticed some
changes in the responses from the RadioDNS Service now referencing
api.bbc and I can now see there is some R&D work on Cross Platform
Authentication/TAG, but nothing on Vis - and agreed very likely the Viz
is just running by accident! Understood on code maintenance. Thanks

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2015-12-05 Thread Giza2020

Unfortunately no such luck.changed to 9079 restarting lms and router
(and boom) didn't help. It's the CLI loop back that seems to be the
problem (based on others comments ) and I haven't got a clue how to
change it for the synology nas.

I thought it might have something to do with the pi server running at
the same time but turned that of and no change :-(

Such a change as I'd really have liked to have freed up a socket and
turned the pi into something else.

If any one else out there has any ideas please let me know

Cheers
