On a public server like MySB.com, it is quite possible that the generated MAC is conflicting with another already registered with the server. Reinstalling will force the app to generate a new address. -- Squeezebox apps for webOS, Android and Windows Phone, http://www.angrygoatapps.com wt0's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18760 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Weather Screensafer for Radio/Touch/Controller
Apologies if this has already been addressed, but it's quite a long thread and I can't find an answer. The problem is this: I can't get my local forecast. I can get my local current temperature using a PWS (found on wunderground.com) entered into 'ID PWS', but if I enter my village name into 'Location', the entire weather display is blank. If I enter the nearby airport as a location, then I get the correct current local temperature thanks to the PWS ID, but of course the airport's forecast. The problem is I live not that close to that airport, and more importantly in the mountains so that my temperature is typically a few degrees lower. So how can I get my local forecast? If I go on wunderground.com, I can enter my village name, and I get both the correct current local temperature and local forecast (and a choice of several PWS) , so the data exists on wunderground. But it seems the app can only get the nearby airport (or large city maybe) forecast, and not the really local one. Am I missing something in the settings? Is there a way around this? I have no clue why, but I can't get the app to do anything. This is almost certainly me missing something very obvious but I have it open now and...it doesn't show anything. It's a more or less empty screen with "home" "now playing" and "current playlist" at top. Please update the server to a recent 7.9 build if it's that old. If iPeng could crash the server that's still pretty much by definition a server bug... (such as it's still an iPeng bug if bogus data send from the server crashes iPeng, something that's happened in the past, too). The server should be be made crash from any request sent to it. The log look unsuspicious to me. Some requests the server doesn't know and ignores, that might be because of some functionality added since that build or a missing or broken plugin (do you use Napster?). iPeng can contribute to crashes because of load it creates during it's operation but that should primarily be restricted to really huge current playlists (iPeng loads the whole playlist). It also loads all of the albums/artists and Genres but that should not cause an issue, the server is made for these things and iPeng also caches the lists. On artwork iPeng is pretty benign, only loading a max. of 3 images simultaneously, some other apps create much more load here. Artwork rescaling could be an issue. iPeng uses a different artwork site than the server. iPeng's artwork should be created at scan time in LMS 7.9 and also cached but if you haven't run a Clear&Rescan since you started using iPeng that might not be complete. If the server has issues with some of your artwork it might crash trying to rescale it. Excessive size of the artwork.db or cache.db are also issues that have been haunting certain 7.9 versions for a while. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Triode spotify family is not renewing playlists
I am using the official plugin for now, but it has flaws too. I made a thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?106310-Spotify-is-not-showing-all-of-my-playlists Stig Nygaard wrote: > Same problem here. > > For some time ago I also reported it in Triode's "official" > Spotify-thread, but no response: > http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?79706-Announce-Spotify-Premium-Plugin-(Beta)&p=860964&viewfull=1#post860964 > Triode might not actively be maintaining it anymore? > > I have moved to the official Spotify plugin instead - at least until > Triode's plugin eventually gets fixed. markschu's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52908 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106309 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer with DASH support - test version
mrmichaelwright wrote: > I'll happily test with all windows security turned off if you think that > is the problem? Getting back to the rebufferign issue. After thinking about the symptoms - I think I understand the issue and defender is not the problem - transcoding with socketwrapper is at the centre. The key is that Listen Again streams work OK but Live streams don't Live streams are different to many radio station in that audio is generated in realtime. If you start a stream "now" the system cannot fill a buffer with 10 sec of audio without waiting for 10 secs before playing. Radio Paradise/Soma etc are not live so the fact that they work like "Listen Again". Slow stream like 48k/96k didn't work because data didn't arrive fast enough for transcoding process or perhaps not enough data has been received to start playing. As non UK users I get 6 secs chunk were 32k byte for 48kbps and 77kbytes for 96kbps stream. On 2 core system with slower processor, socketwrapper has to create 3 processes to transcode the data and I think some sort of deadlock is happening if not enough data has been initially received to "prime the pump". So as a test I have tweaked a few of the parameters in the DASH.pm file to effectively start 10-20 seconds behind "live" so that a bigger buffer of data can be built up. Attach is a replacement for DASH.PM in the BBCiPlayer plugin directory. Save and unzip and replace existing DASH.pm file and then restart LMS. I would hope that 320kbps stream could play without rebuffering. 48kbps may probably rebuffer. If it improves the situation then I know I'm in the right path. +---+ |Filename: DASH.pm.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21343| +---+ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Hi, after the latest update of iPeng9 (on iOS10) the LMS 7.9 server (on a Synology NAS) keep closing avery 1-2 days. The LMS was working for 2 years without any trouble, nothing is changed on NAS, only iPeng9 on iPhone and iPad. 21342 Could you please check it? +---+ |Filename: Logs.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21342| +---+ gianky69's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=40069 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

When the sample > rates are different there is a also a Resync setting in Roon SqueezeBox audio settings to put some silence between tracks. What you have spotted explains too why Roon playing seems gapless. 21339 philippe_44 wrote: > I'm not sure what is the exact cause of the problem, but the > consequence is what you've observed when skipping tracks: It seems that > when the bridge has already buffered more than the current track, then > skip seems to de-synchronize what Roon thinks is being played vs what is > actually being played.
