The credentials are definitely right, I can see my private playlists etc, but the streaming-level debug log says: Browsing and playback are two distinct components. You have to configure the SPH plugin independently. You can get the credentials right in one place (mysb.com - providing the menus) and fail the other one (SPH - failing the playback). -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
When I try to activate chromecasting using the button on the Squeeze Ctrl app, the app says it is casting but nothing happens at all on the TV. It appears the chromecast dongle is not communicating at all with your app. If I use the google cast app button on the tablet it mirrors the tablet screen via chromecast and I can see Squeeze Ctrl app on the TV this way. All my other chromecast apps work fine, it is only the button embedded in your app which appears not to work. As I said Im happy to use google cast to mirror Squeeze Ctrl app, just thought Id mention this as it seems related to the problem reported in the previous post. Cheers .. Sometimes casting can be finicky. Rebooting the Chromecast itself usually helps. The page that chromecast loads for Squeeze Ctrl used to be host on my Google Drive account, but Google Drive discontinued to the ability to host webpages earlier this year, so I had to switch the hosting to my own website. If BBC Web based iPlayer on PC plays DASH OK using the beta setting (i.e. http://www.bbc.co.uk/html5 ) then your issue is in LMS setup. If it does not play OK then it is your PC/Network setup. 2.8mb shoudl be fine unless you are doing something else (e.g. downloading WIn10 updates in background) - if you want to test you can change preference to use lowest and you'll get a 48kbps stream instead of 320kbps. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Bluetooth Pairing with Smartphone/Tablet for Max2Play
Hi guys, I wanted to start a new thread for the huge update we did for our Bluetooth plugin. Previously, the Bluetooth plugin was only able to pair Bluetooth speakers with the Raspberry Pi to use them as an additional audio output for an instance of Squeezelite, Shairport or MPD. The automatic repairing and simple interface allowed for just one easy configuration with a one-click search of the BT devices, a click on "Reconnect" and the speaker could be used time and again afterwards without any effort. Now, the Bluetooth pairing is also possible with smartphones and tablets. In the same vein as the connection with a BT speaker would occur, you can now pair and automatically repair your Raspberry Pi 3 with a Bluetooth-enabled device for input. In order to make this possibility worthwhile, especially for users of the Squeezebox Server, we added two distinct options to channel that Bluetooth input through your RPi3. One is the simple, direct connection with Squeezelite or Shairport; by selecting the "Pulse" feature in both players. This way, the active player automatically selects your primary sound output device (e.g. dedicated I2S sound card) and feeds it with the playback coming from your smartphone or tablet. This allows you to use apps and sound files you might not have been able to put out through your Raspberry Pi before like the Audible App for Android which does not allow DLnA output or a direct output of your voice to use as a PA. And therein lies the other, even better option to connect your Bluetooth stream to your RPi3. We made a one-click solution that automatically adds a favorite channel to your Squeezebox Server (installed on your RPi3) which will put out the stream from your Bluetooth device to all selected Squeeze players. This enhances the possibilities of a PA solution with your Squeezebox Server even further. You could now easily make an announcement to all your players in the house with your phone. The great thing about this feature is that we added the possibility for the Bluetooth stream to interject itself into the Squeezebox Server once started to automatically play the output of Bluetooth once active (beta update required). I urge you to check it out, flysurfer has been putting a lot of work into it and is working on enhancing the experience as I write this. Just to prevent the inevitable criticism, we are aware of the limitations of Pulse Audio output. This solution is not intended to replace HiFi sound systems, or AirPlay, or anything for that matter. It is just a great new feature we thought up that has not been done yet in this capacity and was requested by a lot of our users. Your long packet times coincide with "Unable to get players from SN: Couldn't resolve IP address for: www.mysqueezebox.com, retrying in 900 seconds" which means you have a general network connection or DNS problem and the long delay packets (effectively lost) are collateral damage. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Live delay was defaulted to 15 - Few windows system work with less. I tried this - and it's definitely better - but a glitch every 15 minutes or so. I saw something about increasing buffer size - so I'll try the advice there. Is the menu file changed ? The initial upload failed but I did'nt notice so I had to redo it last night. Sourceforge indicate only 2 downloads are from Ireland. I'd change the buffer fullness to 255 or as high as possible if you can - the smaller the number the less data in the player and more prone to rebuffering. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi BPA not seeing any change to menus after the above? In terms of streaming, things are a lot better with 2 min delay and 100 buffer fullness. Both live and listen again suffer occasional re-buffering but far less than previously. mrmichaelwright's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65105 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Is there any reason why there aren't seperate subforums for common plugins? I am aware I am asking questions of the developers which they may have answered already - but sadly I don't have the time to go through all odd pages of the thread. I feel a bit guilty about this, but also aware I wouldn't be doing it if the thread was more easily accessible. jeztastic's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30053 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106453 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
