I didn't know that. I always assumed that it was fairly short lived, as I think (but only *think*) that in the dim and distant past the pause seemed to go back to live pretty quickly (five minutes or so). I often get interrupted at irritating times, and to be able to confidently pause for as long as a couple of hours or so will be fantastic. Thank you for all your efforts on this. Only DASH format has allows you go back up to a BBC defined size which currently is three hours. Pausing is not the best way to use this buffer - I think it is better to to use the "skip back" menu to go back to either start of program or a time jump as chosed in the Settings. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Funnily enough I'd like exactly this feature too, though I'm not so fussed about configurable time limits. I just want my radio streams to be exactly that - radio streams ; i.e. always "live" unless I deliberately seek backwards. I can FFWD to live from a paused state but I'd much rather be able to either disable pause altogether and start live each time I hit play or have a "FFWD-to-live" option via a long keypress or equivalent. Quite regularly I've found players paused from long back and hit play again and only realised later I was not listening to current data.. yeah I know if I can't tell the difference it doesn't matter right? :) ("239 minutes ago" scrolling across the screen!) Normal delay is usually between 80 and 125msec with 1.5.3 (with 1.4.* it is usually about 200-250msec). When something happens in BBC/CDN you can get delays of much longer such as 12-30 secs so 0.9 secs is not bad. Long delays usually happen at peak usage hours (e.g. R4 Mon-Thurs 5.00pm-7.30pm) > I can replicate this type of entry > [17-02-17 11:03:32.6900] Plugins::BBCiPlayer::iPlayer::getMetadataFor > (543) Invalid estimated delay 1487329380 streamtime=32 > If I take a catch up item and scroll backwards and forwards pausing and > playing. Are you still closed beta? Hi Girth To call the current stage beta is a tad optimistic, though excellent progress is being made. Currently, there are around 30 testers signed up through this thread and who've received invites to a teamwork project portal. That's where the plugin file is distributed and feedback discussions take place.I've stopped inviting new testers for the moment as this group now has a good feel for how to set up and run the test code and report issues etc. If I start giving more people access now, I'll spend a good deal of my time dealing with set-up and other teething issues rather than concentrating on coding. However, soon enough I will need a new cohort of testers to take a fresh look when I have the base infrastructure up and running. Below I've posted the current skeleton development release plan. I would expect to be inviting more users in at version 0.2. I've tried viewing my updated playlists on iPeng, the Squeezebox app, and my Squeexebox Classic players themselves (using the remote) which are running Triode's plugin. None of these shows the changes I made - they display the playlists as they were several hours ago. All of Spotify's own apps on my various Apple devices show the changes correctly. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I don't recommend the Triode plugin, it's unsupported and outdated. Playlist updates there have been problematic for a year or so now. I would recommend to use Logitech's MySB implementation with the Spotify protocol handler plugin. But really, read one of the Spotify threads on it, please --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
And some more information. I just installed 7.8 (1487060116 @ Sat Feb 18 03:04:41 CUT 2017), and dynamic playlists correctly appears under the M mixer icon in the WebUI for the Playlist menu. So it appears it's something in 7.9 that breaks this behavior of Erland's plugins. wnshall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5886 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Clearly, I've not been keeping up to date! So thanks for your helpful advice. I'll get on to it today!
