Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)
Attached is a replacement for iPlayer.pm in 1.5.4.4. It has not been extensively tested. This should fix the current track metadata problem when "Always display station icon" is unchecked. Basically the issue is that the realtime track data was not being displayed if stream is not "realtime" but has a delay - by default the plugin includes a delay for best performance. So the change allows for a small delay (30secs) to be considered "realtime". This fix needs to be more fully tested especially oin Windows systems. The display of metadata by plugin when "Always display station icon" is checked needs to be fixed at a later date. +---+ |Filename: iPlayer.pm | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=22995| +---+ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

BBC live and Listen again are both working a treat, I listened to Radiohead's Glastonbury set live last Friday and Folk on 2 (listen again) while pottering around the backyard on a warm sunny Wednesday evening. It's the little things in life that make you happy :) Thanks again for all the help !!! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Help installing SrvrPowerCtrl
I suggest you start reading the Server Power Control thread from 'this post' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?48521-Announce-Beta-version-of-SvrPowerControl&p=855934&viewfull=1#post855934) where I relate finding a bug in srvPowerControl install script that adds invalid entries the /etc/sudoers file. I filed a bug in github, but gharris999 is no longer around and nobody picked up development. Right now I suspect your sudoers file is corrupted, that is you can no longer use sudo. You can fix that manually by following the method I post, or using another method suggested a few posts below mine. 3 SB 3 Libratone Loop, Zipp Mini iPeng (iPhone + iPad) LMS 7.9 (linux) with plugins: CD Player, WaveInput, Triode's BBC iPlayer by bpa IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Server Power Control by Gordon Harris Smart Mix, Music Walk With Me, What Was That Tune? by Michael Herger PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson AirPlay Bridge by philippe_44 WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld Auto Dim Display, SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107578 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks I see the issue now. Track info isn't always available and when I did a quick look onm R3 & R2 - it was those times. IIRC what you're seeing is the remnants of an attempt to display realtime track info. Initially Realtime track info was only readily available from Radioplayer , however more recently BBC have a new feed. RadioPlayer seemed to be unreliable - there were times when info was not available. Then I found a BBC feed and so I implemented "Recent Tracks" . There were(are?) also complications about what to display if user has paused stream or jumped back. The results seemed unsatisfactory (i.e. results in users queries) so I just went with "Recent Track" - unfortunately - it looks like I didn't remove all the code paths and so track info can appear if icon is disabled. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Here are screen grabs of the LMS Web UI with the settings page alongside. You can see that on the one with "Always display station icon" enabled the currently playing song is displayed on the top line. On the one with "Always display station icon" not enabled you get a picture specifically for the programme but no information on the song being played. The result is the same on my Touch display and on Squeeze Control (Windows). Hope that helps. +---+ |Filename: Always display disabled-large.JPG| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=22993| +---+ hestbank's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63499 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
