Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: WaveInput for Linux
I am getting close to having a fully working Pi3, Liquidsoap & Icecast server that will stream vinyl as FLAC to LMS while simultaneously recording the audio as WAV (my build is with a Behringer UCA202 off the tape loop on my amp but a UFO202 would also work). I now have silence detection that will stop the recording and switch off the Pi but am currently uncertain whether or not to boot directly into recording mode or whether to try to build it with a start / stop recording switch of some kind. A bit more trial and error is required on the boot direct to recording mode in terms of timing the boot up. This hasn't been asked before and so it would seem to be a need of a very small number of users. It would make for a very complicated plugin (which in turn would require testing & maintenance) when there are already a number of dedicated applications for recording files from audio inputs. A simpler approach would be for the user to modify the custom-comvert.conf file to call a shell script rather than arecord which uses for example uses tee to save the waveinput session into a file. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49584 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thinking aloud (having connected turntable to RPi via Behringer UFO202 and WaveInput plugin) ... would it be feasible to have WaveInput (or maybe LMS) have an option to save the captured content so that headless rips can be done? The save location could be specified as a folder somewhere with the filename based on date time ... then user could rename the file at leisure or import into, for example, Audacity to clean it up and split the tracks. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?
Looks like I keep occasionally seeing this message in the LMS Server log when I'm having problems with the MixCloud Plugin: [17-12-04 10:43:28.2090] Plugins::MixCloud::ProtocolHandler::getTrackUrl (109) Error: Cannot get play URL for MendelKa/16201/ from http://www.mixcloud-downloader.com/MendelKa/16201/ I've had this problem repeatedly and symptoms include the server hanging, being unresponsive etc if any of my players try to access the MixCloud Plugin. What I found is that when I go to the actual "Mixcloud-Downloader" URL in the log, there's now a new "Are You Human?" checkbox that we must tick to allow connection to the site. Once checked, from any browser in my local network it seems to resolve my issue across all players as when I go to Mixcloud Downloader from other machines the "Are You Human?" query is no longer displayed. I suspect the "Are You Human?" success criteria is applied to my external IP address. So, perhaps every time my ISP changes IP's I might need to "Be Human" once again to the Mixcloud-Downloader.com site before trying to use the MixCloud Plugin. Until I hear otherwise, I'll save a link in my Bookmarks Bar for quick access to "Humanity" in resolving future Mixcloud Hangups. noexit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66502 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88286 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

scoob beat me to posting but i have been doing a bit of messing about and can confirm that the Windows version is a bit flakey at the moment (compared to a pi running LMS) Here is a little how (same as scoob's)to with a couple of screen shots This is how I did it on a raspberry Pi, it should be just the same on Windows. Don't forget to click Apply where necessary First you need Spotty (v1.99.0) enabled from 3rd party plugins. 24131 Follow the instructions. >From the Settings page, select the player you to use and click on Spotty Spotify 24132 tick the box 24133 Start Spotify on your Device (I use a Lenovo Yoga 3 tablet) play some music, on the bottom of the screen tap on "Devices Available", select the player you want to use and you should be off to the races. It only seems to play one track at a time at the moment. (1of1) If I follow the same procedure with LMS on a Pi then it plays tracks through the playlist (1of how ever many). If I use the the LMS on Windows the web gui allows it to play through the playlist (1of how every many) ronnie +---+ |Filename: spotty3.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24133| +---+ Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108030 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

When you have successful gapless, is the controller the pioneer itself or and external application? If it's the pioneer from its internal software, gathering files from an upnp server, then that might explain why it works as the process is different and it likely does not use upnp methods to play. To prove that, you should try with a UPnP controller that for sure does not send everything as a single stream.
