Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Why bother?
I don't know if the OP is still reading this thread, but here's one more thought that might be worth considering: LMS makes it very easy for users to start on the path to becoming developers, by providing a lot of basic information under "Technical Information," easily accessible from the "Help" button in the default web UI. Perhaps Volumio offers something similar; I have no reason to know. But if not, it might be something for the developers consider adding. I can't help you with this one because this is a material skin thing, and probably something to do with Windows 10 configuration. Recommend you go to the Material Skin forum for help on this. Does not sound like a Squeezelite-X issue. You can also bring up the material interface in a regular browser and see if you get the same behavior, which I expect you will. I could easily display this but it would very quickly be wrong. The Echo buffers music data so LMS feeds it as fast as it can eat it. But it plays it for you at a much slower speed. Meaning that where LMS thinks the music is at and where it is really at are very quickly completely wrong. So the best thing to do was not display this info at all. There needs to be a better approach to LMS display data and Paul has started a thread on this. Album is not a great "tag". BBC has lots of concerts, quizzes, documentaries, books etc. Complicated by the fact that on-demand has more info compared to "Live" . BBC can also has "Long" and "short" description depending on where the info is coming from. I would prefer to provide info in clearly designated fields (e.g. title, current track/segment, current artist/source, description, station name, Program name, episode etc.) and let the UI (possibly with use options) choose what info is displayed. A mix & match and ability to truncate fields, customised by the user would help. For example plugin create an Album field from Program description and Station name - it is probably OK for Radio 1 but not for "Radio Coventry & Warwickshire" - truncation is needed. Similarly a program description may be short for Radio 1 drivetime but very long for a Radio 3 Prom concert. So at the moment I'll try to do what looks right but it'll vary according to live, delayed or On-demand. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

My above workaround has shown the issue that Tidal Plugin did stop working with that :( Will need to find another workaround that do match in all cases. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support
Just noticed in getMetadataFor, the "params" on the iplayer URL is used for kickstarting "OnAir" and also for Title and Icons - is not reliable. Due to a LMS change a while ago, the "Iplayer://" URL changes to a "dash://", "hls://" or "http://; URL - shortly after stream is started - and params metadata such as "Title" are lost. This update needs to look at all parts of getMetadataFor and not just a tweak to change source of current track. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
adamdea wrote: > Sorry for the dub question but i had a go at lms 8.0 and it seems to > have killed Youtube: is this expected behaviour? You may try downgrading to LMS 7.9, reinstalling the plugin, and then reupgrading to 8.0. This helped me with another plugin. Also, I got an email from google, that access to my API was disabled, because I didn't use it for awhile. I can't do searches from the plugin anymore, but what's interesting is that if I open a recently played item, it still plays. Also the method, mentioned in this 'post' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?105840-ANNOUNCE-YouTube-Plugin-(API-v3)=962627=1#post962627), works. It would be so cool if we could use some other tool to generate the now playing playlists and send them to LMS, without using the search function of the plugin. An app (or maybe a tasker script) for android, that works in the same way as the autoplay function in the youtube website, and forwards youtube:// urls to LMS would be a dream for me. Too bad I don't have the skills to create such a tool. Which probably would be a challenge even for an experienced programmer. mnd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69064 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105840 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
