Not sure if this is also a bug. The rapid and frequent try & fail would definitely load the processor. The other messages are also a bit odd. It implies that replies with audio from BBC are taking a long time - for example 12.9 & 5.8 sec delay rather than typical 100-150msec. I've flirted with that setting in an attempt to troubleshoot the issue but no luck. It's currently unchecked but I can still only see the devices when using "my" phone or laptop. Well the skill talks to LMS and not to the players directly, just as the GUI does.
