I have found another source for NFL game data. SDT release 5.11.3
restores NFL scores.

I'm not sure, maybe not yet. I'm out of town and having some issues
remoting into my home network, so I can't do much until I get back.
That said, I still have not been able to reproduce this on my systems.
Was the player it was supposed to remember a built-in squeezelite player
or some other player on the network? And which skin, again, Material?

Interesting.
The Radioplayer error is being logged (i.e. https support is the root
cause of the erro and also the repository xml errors) and so you are
reproducing the error at the expected 30 secs interval. For some reason
it gets out of control on @bins system and doesn't wait 30 secs.

I suspect Radioplayer needs/checks for TLS 1.3 which was only supported
from OpenSSL 1.1.* onwards and this causes the initial error. There may
be a race condition somewhere.

Did you get a chance to look into why iPeng downloads lyrics that are

That’s a. It of a complex quirk only happening if - among other things -
the system volume on your iPhone is set to 0.
Just change the volume (outside iPeng), start iPeng again and it should
be gone.
In most cases you can then set the volume back to 0 if you like.

There probably will be a privacy option for the clipboard thing -
although technically that has been communicated for years (at least on

And then towards the end of the year I have to remove the web browser,
Apple requires that.

I was considering home screen widgets, but they are really hard to make

You can’t display anything useful on them because they are completely

Might wait with them for the full Swift rewrite I’m working on.
Unfortunately, SwiftUI is still pretty limited for more complex UI
stuff.

The OnAir text is current track/program info for live streams and is
retrieved from the RadioPlayer siet as well as a BBC site.

Attempted fetches from the RadioPlayer site causes the "error fetching
RadioPlayer BBC " message
Attempted fetches from BBC site cause the "error fetching BBC segments"

The fetches should be retrieved only once per 30 secs even if there is
an error. The attempt to get data RadioPlayer is not only failing but
in some way - the timing is broken and trigger an immediate retry.

While it is possible the https is the underlying cause - it is strange
other users do not have this same problem. So it is possible there is
another cause but there is a bug to be fixed to prevent the immediate
retry of the http request.

There is a situation with LMS on Windows where some users have https
issues and it is not clear why only a few users get the problem. I do
not know the workings of SSL/TLS but the security process relies on
stored certificates and I have seen one case where corrupted
certificates cause strange issues. So as a matter of course we try to
gather as much details of associated SSL & OS software on a users
system to find critical packages/modules.

Since your issue is a new manifestation - I am interested in knowing
what version of Openssl is on your system - just run the command
"openssl version"

I disabled the "show on air text" and it's been playing for 12 minutes
now (so far) with no pause or buffering. I think the text option must be
what was causing it.

Player is currently a squeezelite on my pc - just to make it easier to
test, but I have four synced booms in the kitchen which is where I first
noticed it.

I am a recovering Kiwi / material skin user myself. Good browser by the
way, but then I switched to Craig's Chrome-based APK for the material
skin and never went back. I found being able to have the display on top
of the lock screen is perfect.

On an Android phone, there are a few players that will show artwork on
the lock screen, such as the Neutron Music Player, which works nicely if
the UPnP plugin is installed in LMS and Neutron's renderer service is
enabled.

2020-10-04 Thread bpa

Looking through the log you posted.

I didn't appreciate how many BBCOnAir messages were sent - normally
failure would mean one attempt every 30 secs but it is non-stop. Not
sure if this is also a bug.

The rapid and frequent try & fail would definitely load the processor.

The other messages are also a bit odd. It implies that replies with
audio from BBC are taking a long time - for example 12.9 & 5.8 sec delay
rather than typical 100-150msec.

Code:

  [20-10-04 14:38:44.6521] Plugins::BBCiPlayer::DASH::__ANON__ (806) Chunk
fetch status 200 Long chunk fetch time 12943 1000
  [20-10-04 14:38:44.6564] Plugins::BBCiPlayer::DASH::__ANON__ (806) Chunk
fetch status 200 Long chunk fetch time 5894 1000

Not sure if the delay is a side effect of the BBCOnAir processing or a
different network fault.

Can you try playing the live station but this time disable BBCOnAir
request by uncheckung the BBCiPlayer Settings "Show OnAir text"

What is the type of player ?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've flirted with that setting in an attempt
to troubleshoot the issue but no luck. It's currently unchecked but I
can still only see the devices when using "my" phone or laptop. Seems
odd, since as I understand it the purpose of Spotify Connect is to allow
"open" access. When I'm at my daughter's gaff, I can seamlessly see the
Spotify Connect device on her Sonos.

OK - "normal" way to install IO::Socket::SSL via packages
libio-socket-ssl-perl libnet-ssleay-perl as I think this make all
interdependent SSL stuff are built & work together. (e.g. notes seem to

Hi prabbit, could you share the setting .txt to add the SDT screen you
made with lunar phase?
I'd really like to have it on my Touch.

Thanks in advance.

Are you using Raspbian ?

I have used a "Vanilla" setup on my pi (everything defaults, normal apt
update & upgrade) and I can only get IO::Socket::SSL V2.060 ?
How did you get V2.068 ?

But until you know the problem - you cannot fix it.

WHat is better ?
Are there BBCOnair message still in the log.

If no more BBCOnAir messages - then https is NOT your problem and
upgrade is unlikely to fix.

Well the skill talks to LMS and not to the players directly, just as the
GUI does. So I don’t see this working without a server in the loop.

I run LMS on Pi on Buster with IO::Socket::SSL at 2.060 and it works OK.

What are you BBCiPlayer Settings ?

Hi Rob, why are still on Jessie ?

I run LMS on Buster without a problem, before that on Stretch and Jessie

Hi

Thanks for the reply - I've updated to 7.9.4 (same as .3 really),
updated to latest IO::Socket::SSL (2.068) and did an apt upgrade-full
(I'm on Raspbian Jessie)

It's definitely better but is still dying after about 5 minutes now

It would be great if this were extended to support discontinued products
(as squeezebox) and open-source projects like WLED,
the most valuable effect would being able to use 'smart' devices with
alexa even after their manufacturer goes belly-up and takes their
servers with them.
(like Best buy's insignia products)

I mostly use my squeezeboxes as radio's and only use mysqueezebox.com,
wouldn't itbe possible to directly control the on/off, volume, channel
from alexa with this, bypassing LMS?

Feature was removed as it was a bit of a hack, and only really worked
with kiwi - and was prone to break whenever kiwi made changes. I did
post here a few weeks prior to enquire about its removal, and no one
seemed to care. If you use the Material APK, it will show controls on
the lock screen - but not coverart.

*Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json
(Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update
messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open
console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS
will be logged here.
