Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Scan - Multi Value tags
Yes, you're right, it's semicolon. What is the best way to proceed from here? I have Multitags like Artist (Artist1, Artist2, Artist3), which are separated with comma. These i do not want o be separated. Then i have the Mood Tag, which should be separated and have commas. Now you mention the \\ separator, which i haven't used. Options: - should i retag the Mood Tag with ;? - should i add comma as separator? (risk of seperating other tags?) - should i use \\ and this would separate without retag and without risk to separate other tags? mamema's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44662 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113965 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite on rPi 3 suddenly not working
I hope I'm not hijacking this thread, but this is the closest thing I have found to a solution to my current problem. As ehjones has described in this thread, I could not get any output from the audio jack (headphones) on a rPi4. I have gone though a number of clean installs and re-configurations and am currently at this point: 1) Raspberry Pi OS with desktop Jan 11/21 installed WITHOUT updates at initial configuration (note, also tested WITH updates, same results) 2) installed squeezelite -ALSA version via Add/Remove software followed by reboot 3) upon reboot, the instance of squeezelite appears in my LMS server (running in a pCP on another rPi4). The squeezelite instance is reporting version 1.8 with playername "raspberry pi". The player MAC address is appearing as 00:00:00:00:00:00 4) on LMS, select the player from the drop down, add a track to the play list and hit play. No sound. 5) return to the player pi, stop the squeezelite service and start squeezelite from the command line *squeezelite -d all=info* 6) back to the LMS server, where I refresh the settings page which now is displaying the correct MAC address for the player instance 7) now I can play the song in the players queue and get output from the audio jack. 8) quit the squeezelite application on the player. 9) Edit /etc/default/squeezelite and add only *SB_EXTRA_ARGS= "-d all=info"* to the initialisation file. 10) restart the squeezelite daemon using systemctl and confirm that the process is running with EXACTLY the same arguments as when run from the command line Code: pi@raspberrypi:~ $ ps -xa | grep squeeze 499 ?SLl0:00 /usr/bin/squeezelite -d all info 905 pts/0S+ 0:00 grep squeeze 11) Flip back over to the LMS server and try to play the mp3 again and once more, no sound. I have gone through these series of steps several times and added -f /var/log/squeezelite.log to the arguments list (both command line and daemon) and compared the log outputs. I have not seen any differences between the logs. I have tried with and without the *"-a :::0"* argument and seen no differences. I have run squeezelite from the command line with the *-z* argument to daemonize it. In this instance, I can get sound. There seems to be something about daemonizing the squeezelite process via systemd that is causing the problem but I'm hoping that someone here can either point out something I'm doing wrong, something I've missed or how to fix this problem. I'm thinking that I'll just have to run this as a simple boot script in init.d rather than having it controlled as a daemon via systemd. Any feedback welcome. ryandkg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71415 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113867 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've placed them at https://smartskills.tech/lmslitesetup/setuphelp-old.html That said, if you're already set up then there's no need to change a working installation just for the sake of it. The new procedure does not do anything 'better' than the old way, it's just scripted instead of manual. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
I am not sure if this belongs here, so it it belongs somewhere else, let me know. I have an SB Radio on firmware 8.0.1-r16835. When I returned to my office, one of my Red Radio's wifi had the red symbol so it was not connected. My other Back Radio four feet away was fine. I have had some recent trouble with the Red Radio radio seeing SSIDs. (The problem may be different that the disconnection problem that occurs in Radios due to interference as the Black Radio has not had any problems.) I wanted to try repair network prior to a reboot. The Red Radio got stuck on "repair network". After 15 minutes I tried to cancel with a long press of the home or power button, but it would not cancel its attempt. I had to unplug and remove the battery to reboot. Upon rebooting, Red saw my wifi network and connected again. The issue that might be a firmware related is if the Radio gets stuck and the ability of a long press of the home button to be an escape. [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Easy ngrok-setup for MediaServer & LMS-lite Alexa skills
33418 There's a new ::*completely-automated*:: setup procedure for deploying ngrok for use with the MediaServer and LMS-lite skills. It automatically downloads/configures ngrok and also sets it up to autostart at boot on the target system. Your account-linking UUID is automagically deployed to update the skill(s) when tunnel details change (i.e. upon ngrok restart or system reboot). There's no more manually creating systemd services or tweaking Python/Perl updaters because the installer handles -everything- To make it as easy to use as possible, the user visits a web form (see above) and enters details which are then pre-populated into a downloaded installer script. Your choice of *platform/OS* in the form not only determines what version of the ngrok binary to download for you, it also results in a script that matches the *native capabilities* of the target platform/OS so there are no dependencies to install. The process is currently available for: * *pCP*: with a -sh- script as installer that builds a tcz package and adds an entry to /opt/bootlocal.sh for autostart. * *Debian-Linuxes*: with a -bash- script as installer for distros like Raspberry Pi OS, Max2Play, Ubuntu - it uses systemd to daemonize ngrok. * *Windows10*: with a -PowerShell- script as installer that runs ngrok as a hidden background process at boot. The old Python/Perl script for updating tunnel details to the skills has been superseded by a native sh/bash/pwsh script that the installer creates on your system. The process is fully documented in the new *instructions* at https://smartskills.tech/lmslitesetup (one installer handles both skills). When filled out, the form might look as follows: 33419 For noobs evaluating the skills, the recommended platform is probably now Windows 10. There's no need to use ssh to transfer the installer to a headless machine - it's just right-click and run. Remember, ngrok on a PC will happily proxy for a NAS or pi elsewhere in your LAN. Many thanks to @chill for the pioneering work on the pCP platform script ! p.s. A MacOS version is being worked on... +---+ |Filename: 2.png| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=33419| +---+ philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113966 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Custom Scan - Multi Value tags
Hi, i had the impression that if i enter the tags into custom scan config "TAGS TO SCAN", then the TAGS gets seperated. This doesn't seems to be the case I have TAGS like MOOD which contain: "beautiful, sad" and after scanning with custom scan they aren't separated into single TAGS, so they show up in Custom browse as "beautiful, sad" Am i on the wrong track here or do i have to configure something else to separate the TAHS? The MOOD TAG is explicitly NOT entered into the SINGLE VALUE field of custom scan config. mamema's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44662 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113965 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Basic answer for LMS is in HTML/EN/html/images/Players for example on pCP installation that is Code: ls /usr/local/slimserver/HTML/EN/html/images/Players baby.png openframe1.png softsqueeze.png transporter.png boom.png openframe2.png squeezebox.png controller.png receiver.png squeezebox3.png fab4.png slimp3.png squeezeplay.png squeezelite can tell LMS what modelname it is - default is -M squeezelite A while ago that was not enough by itself to change the image but LMS might have been updated since then.
