I played more tracks today and even when duration is known playback might still stop because duration is reported incorrectly (not blaming your plugin, probably something with the BBC site) and tracks happen to be shorter than expected so the bridge is still taken by surprise... I don't have a good solution but I'm tempted to try again to not use that duration-base system that I've always disliked. Maybe Deezer have corrected their problem. I'll do that and see feedback. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] 'MediaServer' *certified* Alexa skill for LMS
@staresy noticed a while ago that FollowMe/Transfer didn't work properly on Windows 10 and I noticed myself that it needed a tweak for pCP or it failed totally. Apparently, the method of saving a temporary playlist to the filesystem and resuming it is not foolproof on every OS. Looking in the source of Material, I noticed @cpd73 took a different (clever!) approach for his TransferQueue function - namely briefly sync the source/target players and then unsync them and kill off the source. I've now implemented this for MediaServer and it seems to work much more fluidly, while also not leaving temporary files in the playlists folder. Another advantage is that if the target player was in a sync group, the playlist is now transferred to all of the players in that group, which was not the case before. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111016 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

A standalone RPi is so cheap now and makes updates, security and other things so much simpler that it shouldn't be a hard "upgrade" for those who have used TinySC up until now. Ok I tested 2 apps: 1. Very old (sadly obsolete) Squeeze Commander : "Add Track to Playlist" works fine . There is also no confirmation that song been added. 2. Orange Squeeze (not sure if its old version, found it on other phone) : "Add Track to Playlist" works fine . There is also no confirmation that song been added and weirdly play queue jumps to different place after adding (perhaps to top) btw On both apps there is no folder structure of Spotify playlists when using "Add Track to Playlist" (same as on web interfaces) ps there is also another possibly confusing aspect: "Add Track to Playlist" seems to relate to playlists on Spotify but in Material skin there is also "Add to Playlist" which adds to LMS playlists: Even when you select Spotify: Playlist 1 playlists you will end up with 2 playlists named exactly same but one will be local (with 1 added file) and one Spotify (with all others) And there is also: "Add to..." (thats additional plugin related so no everyone will get that) which also links to LMS Playlists and behaves same as "Add to Playlist" On a bright side "Add Track to Playlist" is only present with Spotify tracks.. (not local library) so perhaps it could be renamed to "Add Track to Spotify Playlist" ?? Unless this is just how it comes from API.. 3x Squeezebox Touch, 4x Squeezebox Radio, Squeezelite (RPi 3B with HiFiBerry DAC+Pro on OSMC), Material Skin Apk, Squeeze Commander, Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0 with Material Skin (Docker in DS218+) Jaca's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58187 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112962 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

IT DOES NOT DO ANYTHING, LEAVE THEM AS THEY ARE THEN Hi Philippe, I sense your exasperation. Trust me, mine is near breaking point! I have read and copied your posts to use as an aide memoire. I have followed those instructions. I have set the bridge up, according to your instructions. In it's basic form, it works on my WiFi system and plays to my HiFi via the Cambridge Audio CXNv2. It also plays to my Roberts Radios (internet radios) and wireless speakers. However, if I use the Apply button for the settings, it plays to none of my equipment. In saying that, the system actively tries to play and it goes into Pause. But something makes the setup unstable and it comes back each time to when I press the Apply button, be it on the settings or on the LMS Control Panel. I have tried the Apply button, prior to playing music and against your advice, whilst it was playing. I get the same result, either silence or stuttering sound for a few seconds and then Pause and no sound. I will continue to use the system without using the Apply button. At least then I get music, in flac mode, with artwork, that plays track on track with minimal silence between each track. I thank you for your patience, but the system I have just will not operate other than in it's basic form, without flow or crossfade etc. I don't know why. I have tried over and over again. sachadog's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10564 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

As this is live radio with each programme as a track, when the stream is started on the first track, its would be very tricky to set the duration before the track started, as it is starting at the current live point, so it does that once the stream is up and going and it has all the information about what point it is in the current live programme. However, it's much easier for the subsequent follow on tracks. Which I think is what you need :) . I'll make that change and sent out a release. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
You will have to go back to the official firmware. One of the changes in the community version is the removal of "TinySC" - the built in server that you were using. >From the changelog Version 8.0.1 r16817 Removed Features: Touch TinySC (SqueezeCenter) server and applet. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Community Firmware for Squeezebox Radio/Touch/Controller and LMS 8
I updated my SB Touch yesterday to firmware 8. But I have the following problem: I use the Touch without any other computer or NAS. The Touch ist only connected to an usb memory stick (256gb), where all my music is saved. Under Firmware 7.8 (and all before) I was able to start the lms with the usb. This worked very well. The reason that i wanted to update to firmware 8 is that I also use tidal. It is not longer possible to use the tidal app with the local lms. Since some weeks I had to change to mysqueezebox.com to use tidal. Bevor that I was able to change between my own music and streaming tidal without no problem with the local lms. The change to mysqueezebox.com for tidal and back to the local lms for my own music is not comfortable. Under firmware 8 I found no possibility to start lms local on my touch under the usb-section. I saw only the possibility to use the lms on my computer. But this is no option for me. I need the local lms to heare music without running my computer or any other separatly gear. Can anybody help me? Thanks (and please excuse my inexperianced english). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Database Optimizer plugin
My, i admit rather short test reveals, that the trackscan scan task went I guess that should read "trackstat"? don't from 3 hours to 4 min on LMS restart and from 3 hours to 15 min on forced rescan. Even though modifying the SELECT statement to prevent musicbrainz_id duplicates will bring the scanning down to 4 secs each, so.. Well, that's a good result :-). Would be interesting to know which tweak makes the difference, or whether it's really the combination of them all. Another improvement is in the webinterface everywhere where cover images needs to be displayed it "seems" faster. Ok, I'll see what I can learn from that plugin. Thanks for the data point! ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
