I was able to back up the folder by logging into my DS918+ via SSH and copying it to /tmp before uninstalling LMS. You can find help on enabling SSH by searching on 'ssh' from DSM Help when logged into the admin interface GUI. I'll also add my thanks to the folks on this forum for rescuing LMS for me. I updated nine packages this morning, including Perl, without thinking about the affect on LMS. Now I see that there is a note about Perl 5.28 breaking LMS in the 'Update' notice. It sure does! So what seems to happen is the transcoding (using sox) from opus to flac fails. There can be many reasons, including a problem with that sox build, I don't know but the LMS version you are using is very outdated. As said, 8.0.0 is old and we have been working a lot on transcoding and live streaming around the time we moved to 8.x and we faced various issues so I strongly you move to 8.1.2 nightly which I can confidently say is now stable with regard to these issues. Also there have been no impactful changes in the streaming area of the plugin for a while. Squeeze player doesn't support AAC natively, so your server will be transcoding it. What are you transcoding settings, is it to flac? Have you made any changes in that area in the last couple of weeks? The old BBC iPlayer plugin dash streams will be the same as the BBC sounds stream, so that is odd that that iPlayer works and BBC Sounds doesn't. You can mimic the same information that the BBC Iplayer gives to the transcoder in the BBC Sounds streams by setting "Hide the audio sample rate from LMS" to true in the advanced settings. If it then works, you can leave it like that, or investigate why transcoding is not working for you when the sample rate is known. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce : BBC Sounds Plugin
Sounds seems to have stopped working with Stefan's version of Squeeze Player on Google Play Store. This is a new issue since last couple of weeks. I use it on my Android TV box and have tested it on my Android phone with the same results. Android Squeeze Player still works fine with my library and other streaming sources. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
Hi, I am running LMS on a Win 10 machine, with the latest LMS 8.2.0 update. I have tried installing the Airplay bridge plugin (after a long break), but after installation, I get the following error message when trying to get to the plugin settings: 404 Not Found: plugins/Extensions/settings/plugins/RaopBridge/settings/basic.html. I have tried adding the server directory of the LMS server to the PATH environment variable, as well as uninstalling and trying to remove any old information from previous installations to get it working, but nothing has worked for me so far. I have verified that the path and file in the 404 message is available under the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Squeezebox\server" folder. For reference, I have the ShairTunes plugin installed, which is working with no problem. I also tried installing the UPnP bridge plugin, which gives the same "not found" result when trying to get to the plugin settings. Any help would be appreciated! [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay Bridg - Two HomepodMini paired to Stereo pair?
Hi I have now two HomePod Mini paired as a stereo pair, which works nicely for my TV (intermediate solution), but when I use the Airplay Bridge, they show up as two separate speaker. Do I have to group them and set one to play right, the other left? This works, but can I, in this case, hide the individual players and see the group player? Or am I missing something here, like grouping in the ?
