Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.0 Spotify Connect Devices not visible for mutliple users
I have a fresh install of Spotty 4.6.0 on a new installed LMS 8.2.0 running on a Linux Debian. Fresh as in: no other Spotty version running on that system before? I had to provide Spotify login information in Spotty configuration to make the Spotify Connect devices visible on my mobile phone. However, an additional account on a different mobile phone can't see the Connect devices. Both mobile phones are on the same WLAN. Then most likely local announcements aren't possible. Is the relevant box checked in Spotty's settings? This can be the case when there's a conflicting software running on your system. What are you running LMS on? Any idea what I have to check? Both accounts are part of a Spotify family account. The working one is the administrative account. Are you using your own client ID? ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Patrick. This is indeed a new option, and is used by the plugin to determine how many channels to display in the new channel volume client settings menu available for the main zone. It will not change the behavior or settings of your Denon. If your SB is connected to the main zone of the Denon and there are no surround speakers connected, use the default setting of 3.1, which indicates that you are using the Denon in stereo mode, with an optional center channel and/or subwoofer. If you do have surround speakers, use 5.1. If you have an additional pair of effects speakers, choose the appropriate 7.1 setting. Sorry for the confusion. This information will be added to the wiki pages for the 4.2 general release. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
Version 2.8.9 submitted to MS Store (allow a day or 2 to publish). Changes: - New option (under advanced/debug settings) to enable "Prevent Screen Sleep". If enabled, then if squeezelite is enabled, SLX will tell the O/S that the display is required in order to prevent windows from shutting it off (sleep). You may need to enable this option if your audio runs through your monitor, otherwise, you lose audio when the screen is shutoff. - - Improvements to color theming based on Material Skin colors/theme. - - Version update to Chromium Embedded Library (CEF) R Greg Dawson Squeezelite-X rgdawson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I have sometimes seen volume set to 50% when I am pretty sure I left it at a different setting. Just this morning a player which I generally leave at 60% was at 50% and that battery powered player would normally be off the network except for around 30 minutes a day. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.6 - sorting option for Albums/Artists/Songs, replay gain fix
I uploaded a server.log including all messages after the restart. I guess this is the interesting part: [21-08-04 08:36:34.1584] Plugins::Spotty::Connect::_connectEvent (368) Got called from spotty helper: volume Ok, I'm seeing the issue in the log file. It's complicated, and as always with timeouts and similar values: whatever you pick it's too long or too short. There's a "grace period" between when the connect daemon is fired up and when Spotify tells us about its volume value. If during this period we receive a 50% (and recently 49%), the plugin would ignore the info and not sync the volume. But it looks as if things take a little longer on your system: the notification came after the grace period, thus was NOT ignored. Are you using a slow internet connection? Or slow hardware to run LMS on? As you're running Linux you might be comfortable editing a file? Open /config/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Connect.pm, modify line 20 to make VOLUME_GRACE_PERIOD be 15 or even longer. That's the period in seconds during which an instruction from Spotify to set the volume to 49 or 50 would be ignored. You could even set it to a minute. The only drawback then would be that you could not use the Spotify app to set the volume to one of these two values during that period. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
