Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.6 - sorting option for Albums/Artists/Songs, replay gain fix
Since Spotty 4.5 (I think) pausing a track using the Spotify App advances the track position indicator to the end of the track (if it is a relatively short track) or to some later position (if it is a relatively long track). Pressing play again in the app shows the track as playing and progressing in the Spotify app but nothing actually plays in LMS. Pressing Next Track in the Spotify App gets thing running again. Everything works as expected if you use the LMS web page to control spotty. Michael, have you had a chance to look at the issue when pausing using Spotify Connect yet? I'm sorry, Connect doesn't get the love it should... I haven't looked into this yet. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.0 Spotify Connect Devices not visible for mutliple users
I got it working (configure mDNS handling), but not for a long time... You asked for the client id, so just be sure, should I do that as described? Yes. Falls Sie einen Familienaccount verwenden, oder sonst mehrere Konten in Spotty verwenden möchten, fügen Sie die entsprechenden Konten bei der neu erstellten Konfiguration unter "Users and Access" hinzu. Although I dont have any real use for it I thought Id give the new Download feature a try on my iPhone. It works in part. I can download a single track but the screen is then stuck on a page that shows the download. I have to close and reopen Material to clear it. I cant download a whole album though. I get prompted asking whether I want to download X tracks but only one downloads and again Material gets stuck on screen that shows the one successful download. I downloaded to a Foobar2000 folder and the tracks do appear and play within Foobar2000. Im just reporting this for others sake. Im not bothered at all. You can get assigned a different Amazon server on the fly and they don't always have the same patch level so something that works now can break in a minute and work again in 2 minutes. Impossible to either reproduce or debug  The advantage of ngrok is that it just works (Amazon has whitelisted it - they even recommend it). LetsEncrypt certs almost always work just fine too, if configured correctly with no weird --xyz switches for certbot. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111443 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yes, I'm sure that the account is not used by anybody else. It also only happens with LMS-lite skill and always just after I asked Alexa to perfom some action with a player. Then a notification in the Alexa app pops up and says that the skill has been un-linked. I have five players in total and none of them changed it's MAC adress in the last few months. There are always some of the players labelled as "not responding" but not always the same players. It switches after a few minutes. When asking Alexa to power on a player she also often answeres that the action didn't work and that I should disable and re-enable the skill in the app. However, when asking to power on the player a few more times it usually works. Also device discovery doesn't change anything. Tried that several times. If LMS-lite stops showing under "your skills" then it has been both disabled and unlinked. Are you sure your Amazon account is not being used by somebody else who is doing this unknown to you? There's no way skills should disable themselves and they stay enabled for years even when not actively used. Players suddenly being labelled as 'unreachable' by the skill can be because the spoofed MAC address of a software player changes since discovery was last performed. Next time it happens to you, say "Alexa, discover devices". Note that she will NOT say she discovered any new devices because it's not 'new' - she already knows about it and only a parameter changed. The sad thing about smart-home skills is that no custom error messages are possible so there's a generic fallback message that is often not helpful. Now I also understand the point with the credentials, so they are not needed if I want to use only Spotify Connect. Login is required, when I want to browse Spotify with Squeezebox... The automatic authentication didn't work with my mobile, you are right. I have to login to get it working. Thanks for your support and the great work with Spotty! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.0 Spotify Connect Devices not visible for mutliple users
That is the case, same network segment, no routing in between. It is not Oh, you mentioned a Cisco firewall. How would this come into play then? that complicated, it is more the size as I have a lot of network devices (smart home). The question is if some special network services are needed, how this "Spotify Connect service advertising" works. Is it based on multicast, Bonjour, ...? I believe it's mdns (port 5353/udp). But I'm relying blindly on librespot here... As I already mentioned on my mobile phone it works well, but all other mobile phones on the same WLAN can't see the players as Spotify Connect. That is why I think it is not network related... Your phone is signed in with the same credentials as the daemon. That's why you see it, but not the others. And didn't you say that the "automatic" authentication using the Spotify app didn't work? That again would fail if the announcement didn't work. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spotty 4.6.0 Spotify Connect Devices not visible for mutliple users
LMS is running on Synology DS920+ (Celeron) in VMM, Virtual Machine. My network setup is quite not "home use standard". Between the NAS there is a Cisco SG250 switch and WLC 2504 WLAN controller with different APs. Hoewever within WLAN there should be no issue as I can see other Spotify Connect devices there... But I'm not really aware of the technical Spotify Connect requirements for the network, new for me... Spotty (LMS) and your Spotify apps need to be in the same network or local announcements don't work. As the name says: they're local to your network. I'm sure you have good reasons to have such a complicated setup... unless you don't really. Then I'd recommend you simplify it to have LMS in your LAN, like the mobile devices. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Any chance the community firmware will be changed so that napster streaming works again? Logitech Media Server Version in Max2Play 7.9 (Raspberry 3B, 4 x Squeezebox Radio, 1 x Squeezebox Boom, 2 x Squeezebox Duet, iPeng (iOS), Squeeze Play (Android). Amazon Echo, 3 x Echo Dot (sadly not connected to LMS). justwords's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52020 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113479 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
