Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin
Greetings - I was wondering if there is any way to display a random album cover for an artist image if no match can be found on-line. Or better yet, the option to switch between a random album cover by a particular artist, rather than the image that was found on line? I don't understand the latter, as I use the pictures to recognize what I'm looking for. When that picture changes all the time, then this becomes useless? As for the static picture: if you define a folder for the artist picture you can put in there whatever you want. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I see where the problem is happening and it seems to be specific to Windows, which is why it didn't occur during my testing. The plugin is basically going into a loop at a certain point. The place where it occurs is in a non-critical housekeeping routine that was introduced in this release and that can be eliminated completely if needed. If you're willing, however, I'd like you to test with a syntax change that MIGHT take care of the problem. If it still occurs, then I will disable the subroutine for the time being until I can do further testing on a Windows platform. In either case, a new release will need to be created. If you could run a test with the attached replacement module, I would be grateful. You can just copy it over the existing module in the plugin directory since you will not need the old one again. If the problem still happens, let me know and I will send another copy with the problem subroutine disabled. Most of the time the power-on sequence executes but no play is initiated. Most of the times, when the "play" is pressed, the server becomes unavailable (red icon), and only sometimes it recovers on its own. The connection to the server gets restored when AVR is powered off manually, only to be powered on by the plugin a few seconds later, and the whole loop repeats itself. After some time, the LMS server gets trashed so badly that it locks up and cannot be even restarted. Here, with this version, LMS playback through Denon is no longer possible in my system. I bought an Audio Pro C10 six weeks ago and it worked with Airplay Bridge with all the default settings but then sometime in the past few weeks its started doing whats described above. I wonder if Audio Pro have rolled out a firmware change? After an evening of trying different settings in Airplay Bridge Ive found the solution. Changing the default Audio Buffer value from 1000ms to 2000ms fixes the problem. Note that the settings UI allows you to set override values for individual Airplay devices so you can do this just for the C10 if you dont want the change to apply to all Airplay devices. 2000ms and higher values worked for me but this may be dependent on your local network so if 2000ms doesnt fix it try a higher value. Of course now I've restarted squeezlite a few times to get that debug output, it's behaving itself again [apart from the progress bar in LMS UI]. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezelite and "player already active" messages
I joined in on this bug as I thought it was the same thing but I am not so sure now: https://github.com/ralph-irving/squeezelite/issues/155 LMS with a Slimp3, a piCorePlayer, a laptop and a desktop. The Slimp3 and the PCP work fine, the laptop and the desktop seem to be really flaky. Laptop was only brought into the equation as a comparison with desktop but it behaves similarly. Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.1 - 1628483320 @ Mon Aug 9 06:43:27 CEST 2021 Perl Version: 5.32.1 - x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi desktop: squeezelite v1.9.9-1392 boomBox: squeezelite v1.9.8-1287-pCP laptop: squeezelite v1.9.8-1317 On the server, I can see that this is logged repeatedly so long as either laptop or desktop has Squeezelite running. I am not sure the significance of it but boomBox doesn't cause these messages when it's online, so I assume it's not good: Code: [21-12-10 10:27:24.7339] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-10 10:27:24.8349] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-10 10:27:24.9359] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc The progress bar in the web interface jumps around quite a lot. Some of the time it is in what I reckon is the correct place, a lot of the time the track progress is shown as 100% which definitely isn't true. Last night I was playing an internet stream and it just wouldn't stop the stream - this is me mashing the Pause button repeatedly to no avail: Code: [21-12-09 22:46:10.2859] Slim::Player::StreamingController::pause (2136) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.2862] Slim::Player::Source::playmode (95) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc: Current playmode: play [21-12-09 22:46:10.3370] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.4383] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.4886] Slim::Player::StreamingController::pause (2136) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.4889] Slim::Player::Source::playmode (95) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc: Current playmode: play [21-12-09 22:46:10.5428] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.6444] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.6982] Slim::Player::StreamingController::pause (2136) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.6985] Slim::Player::Source::playmode (95) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc: Current playmode: play [21-12-09 22:46:10.7457] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.8467] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.8973] Slim::Player::StreamingController::pause (2136) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:10.8976] Slim::Player::Source::playmode (95) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc: Current playmode: play [21-12-09 22:46:10.9513] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.0526] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.0892] Slim::Player::StreamingController::pause (2136) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.0895] Slim::Player::Source::playmode (95) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc: Current playmode: play [21-12-09 22:46:11.1537] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.2551] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.2733] Slim::Player::StreamingController::pause (2136) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.2736] Slim::Player::Source::playmode (95) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc: Current playmode: play [21-12-09 22:46:11.3566] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.4575] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.4672] Slim::Player::StreamingController::pause (2136) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc [21-12-09 22:46:11.4675] Slim::Player::Source::playmode (95) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc: Current playmode: play [21-12-09 22:46:11.5583] Slim::Player::StreamingController::playerActive (2013) 60:45:cb:70:28:bc player already active: 60:45:cb:70:28:bc

LMS does provide access to the comment > field, hence using that - which works fine for my use case. However you do it, I thought your suggestion that you qualify the comment, with something like "TITLE=Disc Title" was a good one. That would allow for other tags to be embedded or preserved in the comments. We could then separate the detail in there with a semi-colon, so you could have a comment of "TITLE=Disc Title;ENERGY=7;BPM=132;KEY=3A etc..." (As you're aware I've been experimenting in this space, albeit with no significant furhter progress to date!) :) mruddo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
