It's clear now that I won't be able to fix the issues with the new releases quickly enough. So I've rolled back the old repository so that people who want stability can go back there. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
Wow! LMS 8.4 also works for me, but oddly it emulates x86 architecture on my M1 machine. I think that sometimes happens right after installation. Don't ask me why... But I fear you'll be back on native code next time you start LMS. That said you can probably force LMS to run in x86_64 mode by prepending the startup line with "arch -x86_64". ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I will be glad to test it. However, the name of the zip file leads me to believe it is not the squeeze2cast executable. I can't unzip it on my phone but can you verify that it's the correct file? To continue my previous post, I just noticed in the log that all of the errors seem to occur almost exactly 2 minutes after the previous log entry, implying that the "something" that is closing the sockets has a timeout interval of 2 minutes. I also found this link which could possibly hold a clue if I knew anything at all about how the plugin works internally. Maybe you could take a look at it and see what you think. I could also try changing the registry KeepAliveTime to something like 90 seconds as a test if you think that would be helpful. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi Philippe I have (belatedly) moved my reporting to this UPnP Bridge-specific thread. I did not get a chance to try 2.1.11 I attach a log from 2.1.12 (Win 10 i7 laptop - all UpNP Bridge settings at default other than binary set to static.) Log starts with same ol mp3 tracks played ok, but skips at about three quarters through track 3, and also track 4, and I stopped it in track 5. (just like several previous versions.) Next in the log is a flac album (Star 69) which appeared to play with no issues through 6 tracks and I stopped it in track 7. The next entry in the log is Radio Paradise playing in flac mode for about 10 minutes also no problems. +---+ |Filename: upnpbridge log 2.1.12 mp3 flac RP.zip| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=39408| +---+ Spacegrass's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68163 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'll > probably try anyway, as I've (obviously) installed the beta ;) As stated, Bliss only stores the path -within- the music folder. So if you analysed c:\Some\Path\Artist\Album\Track.mp3 and set c:\Some\Path\ as Bliss analyser's music path, then only Artist/Album/Track.mp3 is stored in the DB. When the mixer is run, it removes all LMS configured Music paths from the LMS music tracks. So if /srv/mediaserver/music/USB%20Drives/UP_Music/ was defined in LMS as a music directory, then /srv/mediaserver/music/USB%20Drives/UP_Music/Cee%20Lo%20Green/Cee-Lo%20Green...%20Is%20the%20Soul%20Machine%20(Clean)/11-Evening%20News.flac is passed to bliss-mixer as Cee%20Lo%20Green/Cee-Lo%20Green...%20Is%20the%20Soul%20Machine%20(Clean)/11-Evening%20News.flac - and therefore should be found. Both the analyser and mixer -should- be able to handle multiple music directories. *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
It seems that when LMS is upgraded to version 8.3.x on macos, it also used perl5.34 (and/or possibly a custom version of perl from the LMS team) Code: Logitech Media Server Version: 8.3.1 - 1670824772 @ Mon Dec 12 07:19:58 CET 2022 Hostname: Fredericks-Mac-Mini.local Server IP Address: 192.168.68.58 Server HTTP Port Number: 9000 Operating system: macOS 12.5 - EN - utf8 Platform Architecture: Apple M1 Perl Version: 5.34.0 - darwin-thread-multi-2level Audio::Scan: 1.06 IO::Socket::SSL: 2.072 Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0) Total Players Recognized: 2 According to an earlier post here by Philippe, his shairtunes2w does not work with perl5.34. Forcing use of perl5.18, as suggested in this thread by Pazzazu worked for me on my intel mac, but it did not work for me on my M1 mac -- LMS simply wouldn't start when forced to use perl5.18. Executive summary: there seems to be a conflict between expectations for versions of perl in LMS 8.3.x on macos and in shairtunes2w vs. 1.0.x. fredgoodman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7616 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106289 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

FLAC is now working as it was before v2.1.10. Btw, the player I am testing with is a stereo pair of Google Nest Minis. Another caveat is that 2.1.10 also seems to have resurrected the problem with local MP3 tracks ending early. I have not retested that yet with 2.1.11 but will do so shortly and report back. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
I tried today's new version 1.0.15. I got the same result, same error messages in the log file. I did set the helper file to arm64 in the preferences (for macos M1). Moreover, I have somehow once again got into the situation where the preferences are no longer accessible through the web interface; trying to access them gives the html error message: 404 Not Found: plugins/Extensions/settings/plugins/ShairTunes2W/settings/basic.html Moreover, I cannot correct this by uninstalling the plugin through the plugins manager AND manually removing /Users/fgoodman/Library/Application\ Support/Squeezebox/plugin/shairtunes.prefs . If I re-install shairtunes through the plugins manager, I just get back to the "404 not found" message. The last time I was here, the only escape I found was to do a clean install of LMS from scratch. Evidently, when things go south, you are leaving behind some piece of information somewhere which prevents trying again with a clean slate. fredgoodman's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7616 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106289 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
I also have a playback issue with FLAC albums. The tracks play fine and then after a few minutes the sound stops, the track is still counting down in the timeline bar on the controller and then after 3-4 secs the sound starts again. This pattern repeats throughout the album. There does not appear to be any fixed time between playback mutes. The problem only appears to have started since version 2.n.n.n. of Chromecast bridge was introduced. The Chromecast bridge is configured with PCM transcoding and flow enabled. Scaling factor is set to 70. All other settings are default. I have tried changing the transcoding back to None (default) but it does not make any difference. You can use (e.g.) SQLiteBrowser to see what paths are > stored in the DB. Thanks, I think a path issue is indeed what's happening. Daphile is configured out of the box to use /srv/mediaserver/music/ as the LMS music path. Any disk you add is automatically mounted under that path, in its own folder (which makes adding more discs containing music really simple, it's all under one directory). I connected my USB disk to my Windows machine directly, making scanning quicker than over the network, resulting in a db path of e.g. "Queensrÿche/MTV Unplugged/05-Intro.flac". The LMS-Bliss interaction expects "/srv/mediaserver/music/Queensrÿche/MTV Unplugged/05-Intro.flac" if I understood you correctly, but the actual file path as seen by LMS is "/srv/mediaserver/music/USB Drives/UP_Music/Queensrÿche/MTV Unplugged/05-Intro.flac", which of course can't be found. I've just set LMS to use "/srv/mediaserver/music/USB Drives/UP_Music" as music folder. I'll let you know after the clear and rescan if it's solved. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Philippe, Thanks for your ongoing help with this. I have upgrade to 2.1.10 this morning, and started to have problems with a playlist of FLACs as the FLACs would end early, with the next track playing. This occured with both streaming set to normal and underrun. However, there was no consitent behaviour, with the only message in the log stating that one track had stopped and another began. So I was not sure whether it was a bridge problem, an issue with LMS reading the FLAC files from my hard drive, or a fault in my network. This problem was solved by changing from no transcode, to transcoding in FLAC. I thought it might be useful posting this. I've found the problem. One thing I missed is that the 3.5.4 version of ser2net I used to build my pcp extension does not have the famous uucp locking. So I'll try to build with an option that, in my mind, make the extension unstable. I downgrade to ser2net 3.5.1 with the -u option and It works perfectly! I will now test the 3.5.4 without the uucp locking option. Sorry for disturbing..
