Maybe a bit late but while I was assembling the patience and courage to
go for a clean install via a m2p buster version or PcP I retried a
forced install via the CPAN route..and success. IO:: Socket::SSL now on
2.068 version. New baby firmware download successful and installed on 4
of my 6 radios so far.

Thanks all

Ok, thanks for the suggestion guys!

In order not to have to reconfigure all server settings (and for all 9
players..) is there a way to save all plugins and all settings from the
current install and reinstate them once the buster version is there?
Max2play has a save LMS settings function (it provides a 190mb tar file
in my situation). Would that work or do you know of better
alternatives?

regards/groeten!

I'm on a Raspberry with Max2Play installed. Ive tried the sudo apt and
CPAN options.
First option says its up to date, CPAN says on version 2.068.
LMS info screen states: IO::Socket::SSL 2.002...not sure how to
solve.
Logging shows same download errors on new firmware as others have
experienced.

any tips/suggestions how to update IO::Socket::SSL alternatively?

Not sure this is the issue. What I see again (unfortunately not solved)
is that separate unique accounts under a family subscription are added
with their unique user or profile names. However somehow they are mixed
up and I get 2 or 3 users with exactly the same name. Once this happens
I get a "Access Rate limit exceeded for: me/player/devices; retry after
x seconds" message.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.4 - more personalised content

2020-11-14 Thread MPO

I seem to have the same problem with the Access Rate limit exceeded for
message.

I had been running a spotify family setup with 5 accounts since March
this year. All working like a charm.
Today however playlists turned empty for a few accounts. I could not
get them back so I chose to re-register the family user names in
spotty.
Now it does not want to add the seperate users and I see multiple
entries with my (master) account name.
Meanwhile the Access Rate limit exceeded for message is stated each
time.

It looks like it is mixing up the different family account names and
seeing them as one, sending all the access requests, but this might be
just my limited understanding.

how to fix this? any help much appreciated

I am on LMS 8.0.0 - 1605342997 with spotty on 4.4.2
