Ok just downloaded it. Thanks again for all your help, Martin. For the record, this issue didn't start after a DSM update, I've been having them for quite a while now. To be honest, I can't even remember what it was that caused it to behave like this. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
No no, this plugin doesn't do anything for me. I've never even really used it so I just disabled it. But for some reason I'm having other weird issues with LMS recently, like artwork not showing on my mobile controller and my ratings not registering with TrackStat. Also, what I need Windows access to the cache directory is for muso, which is a controller I use on my laptop. So yes, I'm always going to need that access to the Cache directory. Would it be possible to have that location in a separate file, like cache.xml or something? So you don't have to keep making these custom builds for me? Thanks very much. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
I checked Task Scheduler and the only things in there are my backup jobs. Nothing that might start and restart the LMS packages (yes, the other package is still installed, by the way). I also checked and I do have the Full Text Search plugin and went ahead and disabled it. What am I losing by disabling that? Anything important? One other thing to note about the crashes is that they seem to happen around the time I initiate a muso LMS import. That might be why the last thing we see in the logs is TrackStat activity. I'll ask the muso developer to look into that as well, see if he can bring some new perspective into the whole issue. Also, were you able to think about why LMS itself may be reporting inflated track numbers? Thanks again for all your efforts. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
Just as an FYI, the first screenshot shows a wildcard search from within DSM (File Station) for all files ending with a .flac extension which shows the result as 24,501. (my music library is all FLAc with the exception of 2 albums (17 tracks). The second screenshot is the same search with MP3 files. So as you can see, the two of them add up to 24,518, which is also the exact number reported by MusicIP (third screenshot). The last screenshot is the number reported by the new LMS installation. This was the same number reported by the original installation as well, by the way. Ok, that sounds great. I'll get everything installed and configured and let you know how it holds up. Thanks again. Now on to another problem that's been bugging me for ages. for some reason, LMS shows that I have a total of 26,194 tracks where in fact the actual number of tracks is 24,518. I have had this problem with the original installation as well. I can't remember what caused the issue but it wasn't always like this. I also run MusicIP server on my Synology and that reports the correct number of tracks as 24,518. Is there any way we can find out what causes this discrepancy? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins
I have a quick question. In the past, under my Interface settings, I used to have the "Title Format" defined as "DISC-TRACKNUM - TITLE - ( TRACKSTATRATINGNUMBER )" and this would show me the Trackstat rating in a parentheses for all the tracks in my current playlist. Since upgrading to LMS version 7.9 on my Synology NAS, I no longer get the Trackstat rating displayed. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks a bunch. Hey there, Erland, hope all is well. Recently Synology released v 7.9 of their LMS package and of course I upgraded and ever since, Trackstat is reporting 1597 tracks more than what is actually there. Hey guys. This might not be the appropriate place for this but after recently upgrading to the official Synology 7.9 package, my library is now inflated by 1597 tracks. In other words, after upgrading to 7.9, my music library now shows 1597 more tracks than there really are. I've done a clear & rescan, delete all the .db files to force a library refresh as well as removing all Trackstat data but nothing has worked so far. Any idea how I can fix this? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Alternative Web Interface (beta)
That's a good point, Mnyb. I'm not really sure when it would be necessary to recreate the original CD but I read somewhere it was a good idea to always keep the log/cue files just in case. Do you disagree? PS. I don't have any albums with a single FLAC/WAV file. Maybe it's best I just exclude .cue files from being scanned? OK, my mistake. It shows those special characters OK but what I don't understand is in the screenshot below. If you notice only in the "Playlists" tab does the problem exhibit itself. The strange thing is that that playlist doesn't even exist in the actual folder of the album! Any ideas where LMS is getting that playlist from? Thanks for this great plugin, Roland. I seem to have an issue with displaying some characters such as İ ş ğ ç etc. LMS itself displays these just fine so I'm thinking it's just an issue with your specific plugin.
