The version I am about to download for my Mac is 7.4.1

Before I download and install, is this the version without
the XM plugin?

Should I download an earlier version of the software?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] XM radio plugin with 7.4?

2010-01-09 Thread NJRonbo

Getting ready to reinstall the Slimbox
software on my new iMac so I thought I
would re-ressurect my former question...

To listen to XM radio through Slimbox
(I am a subscriber) should I download
an older version or is the newest version
of the software now capable of handling the
plug-in?

If I need the older version can someone
please point to a link.

I take it the plug-in is easy to install?
If I get no answer I'll go back a few pages
in this thread and look for an answer.

Thanks everyone as always!

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] XM radio plugin with 7.4?

2010-01-09 Thread NJRonbo

Gary,

I am at work for a few more hours and
then I plan to download the software.

Just to clarify...

I have something called a SlimDevice
made by Logitech about 5 years ago.
Don't even think they make it any more.

The software I usually download for that
device should be the same software that
is compatible with XM streaming. Yes?

Just can't look at it right now while
at work.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] XM radio plugin with 7.4?

2009-10-12 Thread NJRonbo

Hello everyone!

After a year or two of putting my Squeezebox aside I decided
to hook it up again with the new software.

I am an XM radio subscriber paying for additional online streaming.

Was a bit disturbed to find the SIRIUS plug-in does not work if you
have an XM account. Thought they were SIRIUS/XM now.

Anyhow, thanks to a search, I found this thread. I look forward to
an XM plug-in being made available.

Question while I am here

Will Squeezebox work on its own to stream online content without
a computer?

For example, if I take my squeezebox to work and connect it to their
WiFi, can I still get XM RADIO (when available) without the need of a
computer to stream it?

Thanks in advance and I am subscribing to this thread in hopes of
a plug-in announcement.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SuperDateTime - Current Date/Temperature and/or Baseball Screensaver

2009-03-02 Thread NJRonbo

I hate to go through over a hundred pages of posts to find a simple
answer, so I hope somebody doesn't mind answering this question for
perhaps the umpteenth time.

I am on a MAC.

I installed this plugin as directed

/Library/PreferencePanes/SqueezeCenter.prefpane/Contents/server/Plugins

I am now on the webserver page. I cannot find a PLUGINS directory
anywhere
to activate and setup this plugin.

Can someone help me further? Thanks

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins on a Mac OSX?

2007-03-02 Thread NJRonbo

On the webside (browser) the plugin SUPERDATETIME now
appears in the list of all my bookmarks. All the bookmarks
are checked.

On Squeezebox, SUPERDATETIME also appears under screensavers
and I highlighted it to make it default.

The only problem I am having is that the standard Date/Time
screensvaer is still showing up on my Squeezebox.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugins on a Mac OSX?

2007-03-01 Thread NJRonbo

Guys,

First, I appreciate your patience in guiding me through this.

Guys,

Thanks for the help.

SUPERDATETIME finally showed up on my plugins list.

Now

How do I select that individual plug-in to run on my Squeezebox 3?

I know there are checkmarks on the browser settings end, but
is there anything I need to run on the Squeezebox to enable
that screensaver?

Thanks, all, for the assistance!

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Having problem installing my first plug-in

2006-02-15 Thread NJRonbo

Just got my Squeezebox today.

Installation went perfectly. I installed Slimserver
and the Squeezebox instantly connected to my network.

I wanted to install a highly recommended plug-in called
SUPER DATE TIME.

It can be found here:

http://www.abovethelaw.com/squeeze/

Installation was easy. I just installed the folder
into my SLIMDESIGN PLUG-INS directory.

I go to the slimdesign configuration webpage for
my device.

As instructed I go to SERVER SETTINGS-PLUGINS and
I see SUPER DATE TIME checked under the list of
available plugins. So far, so good.

The problem?

First, there is no way to configure my weather, stocks,
scores, etc.

Second, going to PLAYER SETTINGS -MENUS the SUPER DATE
TIME isn't listed. There isn't even a selection for it
under screensaver selection.

I even restarted both my Squeezebox and Web configuration
browser in hopes it would appear. It did not.

Anyone want to give me a hand? Thanks!
