For my city wunderground gives a temperature related to the airport, that actualy is far from the city. When I changed from the airport to the pws I have near home the diplayed temperature changed drastically. Hi Erl, I'm trying in any way to set the weather icon but can't get it
to work correctly.
This is the line I use, but whatever the size and the zoom, when the
touch is connected to the pc it works in a way, when it goes by itself
(the tiny server) it behave differently. And then again, after the
first refresh, it changes size and zoom apparently without any rule...
can you help please?

I found another little problem: the sdtweathermapicon is a great improvement, I use it to display Italy satellite image. The problem I found is that when you set it with a size, a clip size and a displacement, it show correctly at the first time, but looses settings at the first update. I've finished my screen (except for the background) but now I have a couple of problem. The first is that it seem to be too big to be imported. I wanted to do what we said, duplicate it to make a playing screen and a "when off" screen, so I exported it and tryed to re-import without success. The import page stood still forever. The second is that I needed to have a print screen but don't have a usb keyboard, so I installed squeezeplay. Now the problem is that I could install the custom clock applet, but can't enter the menù to configure it. yes, I did configure the 2, too, on the touch, and I perfectly agree with you, and actually I completely replaced it on the radio. Another thing: currently there is no way to show a picture slide show in a box, isn't it? And to show, also in a box, the slide show from flickr or facebook? About the box that is able to show e.g. satellite images (I don't remember if it's appleticon or applicationicon): is there a way to hide it when playing or when not playing, just like with the "standard" covericon + covericonplaying + covericonstopped? Last but not least, it would be great to have this ability to show/hide even on rssicon and rsstext. Well, this is a pretty big list of nice to have... :) I made a pretty nice multifunction screen saver for touch, good either for when playing and when turned off, with meteo logos for 3 days, cd cover and satellite image. I'd like to post it, but I don't know how to do a screencapture. hi Erl, yesterday I prepared a new now playing screen for my touch, then aftersome tests I decided to put it in substitution of logitech's one. Then, suddendly, I realised that this was not possible because I didn't have the command buttons to control it. So, unless you use the remote, you cannot start or stop music. Hi Stefan, I tweaked a little the file strings.txt to add Italian
language to messages. I attach it here, so if you'd like to update your
applet installation with a new language added, feel free to use it.
Howewer I found that the applet doesn't care it at all, leaving always
english statements, in the setup section of the applet itself, in the
initial statement ("Loading weather") and finally in the date the
applet displays.
Or maybe you need these translation in some other file. If so, send me
the statements to be translated.
Another thing: may you display somewhere the location wunderground
sends back to the appelt? Just as a confirmation it understood the
location I typed.

to me they are both good enough, may be the zip package gives more portability in case of total reset. The only risk I see in both is the storage. How many free ram there is in Radio? Erl, I guess I found a bug. I was build a new style in wich I defined a rotating image pointing to http://static.die.net/earth/mercator-cloudless/480.jpg then I put two timetext, one for hour and one for month. Then I decided to see how it could have been putting the earth on background instead of a rotating image, so I put the same link to the background. After updating, I wanted to go to the rotating image to delete it, but since then, I can't load the style anymore. I can load any style but that one, it simply stays there for ever, waiting to load, until the server gives a timeout. No errors, no other problems, the applet works, the plug in works, you can build other styles, but can't load that one. Thinking at a layered clock, with one layer for the face and one for a
hand, there is no other way than putting both in the center to have it
to work. In fact, if the hand image doesn't pass through the screen
center, the effect will be of an errating hand through the screen,
instead of a rotating hand.
So, now I'm thinking that my style with the tag heuer ("cassetta") will
never work. I have to redraw it with the watch in the center.

It is centered. Actually sizing the image as the entire screen is the
only way to be sure it's centered. Even because if you look at the
second's hand for example, it doesn't starts from the screen center, but
has a "tail" beyond it. So determining an exact square, smaller than
screen size, that has its center on the hand's rotation point, is a
little more complicated.
Anyway, if there are performance issues, I'll do that.
By the way, yesterday evening I configured the style and it's perfectly
working.
Or perhaps... are you talking about the barso clock or the Tag Heuer in
"Cassette"?

This would be great: would open another big bunch of possibilities.
We need two couple of coordinates (rotation point on the screen and
rotation point of the image), unless you presuppose that the hand's
image is always a square that rotates around its center.
