Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: The Synchronizer 0.7
Hi Eric, i have been playing around with this today. I have 4 players and am using 7.2.1. I had 2 questions/observations for you 1. When you define the player sets do you have to have a master or can you sync, say, the kitchen to the living room and the living room to the kitchen? 2. I was hoping what would be the case with this plugin would be that a user defined group would appear as a phantom player. So Downstairs would be the master player interface but control 2 players simultaneously and it would appear as a player in its own right. I would be interested on your thoughts on whether point 2 would be something others might want or whether it is a niche idea? Cool plugin BTW, thanks for making it! -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51760 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Moose 0.67 (Windows frontend)
Just got into this. Very nice app. Using it on Vista Ultimate to control a local remote SqueezeCenter 7.1. Got it all connected up and playing etc. One issue i keep getting is moving the volume bar seems to crash the app. Anyone else seeing this? -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Screensaver idea for your PC
Had a go at this this evening. Seems to work well and picked up the mac address of my players no problem. It is great you are still innovating this and i thought this might be interesting to consider: How about being able to show multiple player info and art at the same time? I always found it a bit of a pain to switch players to see what is going on on each one and the status screen in settings shows player info but not what is playing or if it is stopped or off. This might be a neat type of full system status screen? -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49091 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Screensaver idea for your PC
The Crayon room did not seem to work for me but now Liam's version does. I quite like it myself, the artwork looks good on my screen (20 1680x1050). It does only show my living room player artwork though. What program do you use to edit it? -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49091 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Screensaver idea for your PC
Either for me. I am just grateful that you are having a go right now:-) The 2 additions you are talking about would make this very usable in my opinion for being able to see, from a distance, what is playing in your rooms I guess i would like the multiple player option if it is one or the other, just because you can get a certain amount of info from the artwork itself Thanks -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49091 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Screensaver idea for your PC
gave this a try today but it kept crashing before it started. Probably because i was trying it on Vista? .NET2 was already installed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Screensaver idea for your PC
to further what i was thinking of. If anyone has ever seen the Kaleidescape interface with its moving artwork montage, i was thinking along those lines. There are some videos of it here: http://www.kaleidescape.com/experience/video.php So you could have modules of the artwork plus what is next in the queue plus now playing info for each player moving around the screen so as to save it I attached a jpeg i put together to try to illustrate. +---+ |Filename: screensaver-idea.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=5316| +---+ -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49091 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Screensaver idea for your PC
Anyone think this would be an iteresting plugin? A screensaver app for Windows XP that cycled through your players displaying the artwork for what is playing. I run a headless system but often leave squeezecenter tuned in on firefox on XP. I thought it would be cool to let this PC go into a screensaver mode with bigger artwork pictures and now playing info for all the players on your network Is this something others might like to see? -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49091 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Screensaver idea for your PC
That's what i thought. I always have an idle pc around and it would be cool to be able to glance at it and see what is playing. I guess we would need a lot more votes though because the limit of my programming came with the suggestion. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Lazy Search for SqueezeCenter 7.0 released
it is interesting that you did not get such a hot response because the idea in my post (and your wheel idea) is to reduce the amount of spinning and choices from 36 down to 6 and not have to leave the screen as it were. Given the wheel is not that accurate some of the time it makes searching is not easy so i am suprised at the lukewarm response. If you do make it, then you would have one happy installer for sure! -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45531 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Lazy Search for SqueezeCenter 7.0 released
Hi, dont know if you have added more thought to this but, as it is my favourite plugin, i have been trying to think of a way to integrate it and thought of this: Lazy search was great because we had number keys. Rather than reinvent the wheel could you not just move this method to the screen and have a search like below. Where you use the wheel to select a row of letters one after the other and narrow down your selection just like it currently works on SB3 --- Artist search --- ABCDE FGHIJ KLMNO PQRST UVWXYZ --- 15 Artists found --- Thoughts? -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45531 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Vista Gadget request
Hi, i have a few suggestions for some extra vista functionality 1. A gadget version of softsqueeze (if it is a java program, is the a wrapper for gadets?) 2. A slimserver gadget with now playing, artwork etc. on your squeezeboxes and the ability to change the tracks (a lot like squeezefox works) Think it would be cool to have it all there when you log in and not even have to open the browser Phill -- SoftPhill SoftPhill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13979 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40532 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
