Hello,

I stuck trying to understand why the Naim and LMS won't talk. I can see
the LMS server in the Naim app, but doesn't appear as a player in Orange
squeeze? Neither app allows music to be heard. Thanks for the help!

I won't even pretend to be an expert on LMS UPnP bridge. I would try the
Apple Airplay plugin to get yourself up and running first.

Wondering... Did you add port forwarding in your router for LMS
UPnP?

I found the problem I think after hours and hours of head
banging...

It seem that the Android OS and Squeeze Commander or Orange Squeeze
doesn't play nice with the Naim and the UPnP plugin! Hence the
inconsistency whether the UPnP would function or not. So used my Wife's
iPad with iPeng installed for use. Then shutdown the server and
reinstalled LMS to back a non beta version, reset the Naim to default.
Then "POOF" everything function as designed! There is one only order
operation is needed under iOS environment. I must wake up the Naim using
their app then use iPeng for normal operations. The odd thing is that
Airplay will wake-up and function normally while using iPeng, but at the
reduce sample rate. Side note only Twonky Server function regardless
whether it was Android or iOS. I know Twonky it isn't LMS, but maybe
they have an enchantment to UPnP bridge?

Thanks

Answering your question as follows:

1.) -What kind of router?- ans. Linksys ACS1900

2.) -Does it have multicast disabled?- ans. Yes Please see pic
snip. I've also add pic of my port forwarding settings.

3.) -IGMP snooping?- ans. No. I don't have dedicated switcher.

4.) -I also see that the Naim is sending explicitly a disconnect. Did
you power it off? -ans. No... but IOS Squeezepad appears to functioning
as intended. As a test I
enabled Apple Airplay bridge, and it function but caps sample-rate
at 44.1 Khz.

5.) -The Sonos PLAY:1 has issues providing its characteristics. What
version is this? - ans. I'm using a Sonos Playbar with Play 1 and Play 2
as satellite speakers.
Sonos Playbar (OS:S1 version 11.2 hardware version 1.9.1.10-1.2)
Sonos 1 and 2 ( OS:S1 version 11.2. hardware version 1.20.1.7-1.2)

6.) Side note: The Sonos playbar never worked before played on version
(1) of the log. Amazing it function and was transcoding to play. Then
while
attempting to troubleshooting the Naim in the child section of the
parent section of common. Upon restarting the UPnP bridge now the Sonos
Playbar along with the
Naim don't function. Please see the additional UPnP log. :o

Sorry I'm not finding a UPnP plugin log? I'm running Windows Server 2016
and when I search program(x86) and programdata under squeezebox it
doesn't list any result. Per your request of a plugin log.

Yes. Only after I've jumped through hoops of multiple restarts and
re-installs of LMS and the UPnp plug-ins. If I have a power outage or a
Server update that requires a restart then I have to start to process
all over again! I know it's confusing and baffling its a computer
either the software works or not. :)

Thanks for the reply. My library consist of a single file type
"*.aiff 96 Khz 24bit". I even did a sense check and converted some test
files to FLAC, ALAC, and WAV. Using the sample rate and resolution of 96
Khz 24bit. The resulting test files failed to play.

Thanks..

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)

2020-06-11 Thread blacsno

Hello,

I'm having issue in getting the UPnP to function consistently after a
system startup. After trying different combinations LMS re-starts,
re-installs, and/or plugin restarts. No peculiar order is repeatable it
appears to be random whether the UPnP functions. I'm using LMS 7.9.3.159
beta. The current no beta UPnP doesn't function at all for me.

Here some repeatable issue:
1.) Upon restart LMS via UPnP is unavailable on network. Which requires
a LMS software reinstall to correct. Please note this doesn't mean the
UPnP is functioning!!!
2.) When syncing squeezelite to UPnP device there is a higher chance
that UPnP may function. If that does work I'm able to remove the sync
and play as normal.
3.) No sound or re-buffering errors.
4.) Airplay plugin and Chromecast plugin function as intended, but
those plugins don't accept by 96 Khz native aiff files.

I've attached my LMS UPnP log

OK, crashing after 6s with a 7.3.3 server sounds bad, never had that.
 A few things to check:
On Penguinlovesmusic.com only these issues refer to the App, the rest
is about the plugin and apply to you:
 http://penguinlovesmusic.de/ipeng-application/how-to-use-the-ipeng-application/known-issues/
So your #2 doesn't apply here.
also, #6 should have no effect as should #7 (iPeng doesn't use port
 9090).

 Apart from that:
 1. Could you check whether all your players really have names. That
bug's supposed to fix but I can't test this very well since a player not
having a name is not a legal state in SC and thus I can't reproduce it.
You can change a player name in the SqueezeCenter settings under
 Player-Player Name
 2. Are you sure there is no other machine on your network running
SqueezeCenter 7.4? If so, temporarily shut it down until you have
connected iPeng to your main server.
 3. I don't believe the issue is that you can't connect to the server
since I don't believe iPeng crashes after 6s without a server. In any
case, you can add a server if you turn off wifi, start iPeng and then go
 to Settings-iPeng Settings.

If all this doesn't help, could you grant me access to your server? You
would have to forward port 9000 (not 9090) on your router.

Ge this is so much FUN!! My player had a name so I renamed it to
myth player, thinking maybe that will fix it. NOOO know the player
just flashes red, Not amount of resets or unplugs fixes it!!! UG

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread

2009-07-08 Thread blacsno

I've think I'd tried everything to get this app to work. I'm using
Squeeze as a service.

1.) I've excluded squeeze directory and sub directories from virus
scan. Nothing
2.) Deleted a file as directed to. Then restarted squeeze again.
Nothing
3.) I can direct access via 192.168.1.103:9000/handheld. Works but not
Ipeng

I just checked and it is working. Is there anything in the
/var/log/squeezecenter/server.log from the time of it not working? On
Windows, its somewhere in Documents and Settings\application
 data\squeezecenter

Where is this plug-in located at? I'd like to use it! I'll donate for
the cause of good!!
