Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SqueezeControl for Android announcement and support thread
What a fantastic app. I've only had my Samsung Galaxy Apollo since Christmas and, having found the app yesterday, it's already my favourite! Two tiny problems: 1 - Album art doesn't work (my album art is stored as 'folder.jpg' files in each album's folder) 2 - Downloading music files to my phone results in mp3 files of 0kb However, for controlling my music, the app is perfect! Thank you. -- dazbarber dazbarber's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8088 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62581 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've just changed Squeezecenter to start 'When I log in' and... guess what... IT WORKS!!! My 'What-u-hear' source is now streaming to my living room. I now have spotify throughout my house. Thank you so much for your time and effort looking into this, it is very much appreciated. I've recently noticed that there have been a few issues with Squeezecenter being unresponsive - judging by the lightning speed of the Web interface, I'm guessing that this may be solved as well! I'll give that a go. I've just repeated the 'Tune in URL' test that I performed earlier (but without the logging) and, surprise surprise, I hear my webcam. If it's getting its audio from the correct source and my earlier tests get audio from 'what-u-hear' it doesn't seem to make any sense at all! I'll report back when I've tried starting SC in different ways. I have just done that and proceeded to 'play' the favourite from Squeezebox (expecting no sound and a log file to be produced). However, I got no log file (if I was looking in the correct place). What I did get once again was sound from the webcam's microphone. I'm starting to suspect that I can type anything into the URL box and get the webcam's output (I have now alarmed the room with the squeezebox in for the night so will have to check this with a URL of "banana" tomorrow). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
Hi, I have tried your suggestion and I have a bit of a strange result. If I try "wavin2cmd.exe -w -o wavin:0 > audiocapture.wav" I get a recording of what I expect (my soundcard's what-u-hear output) but, no matter how long I leave it recording or how large the file size, it plays back as a 1 second recording! I tried to use my soundcard's name using the correct switch but I got silence (and a 1 second recording again - no matter what the file size). I'm assuming that the recording is being corrupted for the file to be large but only 1 second long? I'm still getting the webcam microphone output through my squeezebox though. How can this be? I'm very confused now! Yes, the audigy is an add-on card (which was added in-factory). The Motherboard does have an on-board sound card (it has never been used and it doesn't show up anywhere as I believe it is disabled in BIOS). When visiting the panel you describe and clicking volume, I am sent to the XP sound mixer which shows the 'play control' levels. These are: Wave, MIDI Synth, CD Digital, Auxiliary, CD Audio, Line-in and Microphone. None are muted and all but the microphone have their levels between 30 and 100%. If I change the mixer to show 'Recording Control', I am shown sliders for: MIDI synth, "What-U-Hear", S/PDIF-In, CD Digital, Analog Mix, Microphone and Wave. Once again, all faders are between 30 and 100% and "What-U-Hear" is selected (and at about 70%). The odd thing is that the Wave Input plugin is definitely capturing from my webcam as I have no other microphones connected to the computer (the microphone socket on my Audigy soundcard is not connected to anything). Everything else seems to be working fine (including MIDI etc - I'm a music teacher and composer/arranger by trade and have never encountered any problems either with MIDI, wave files or CD). Fingers crossed that I can get this sorted. Thanks for your help. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
Hi, I tried to use waveinput a while back but had to give in as I could only get the input from my webcam's microphone through squeezebox. However, now that I have started to use Spotify, waveinput is a must-have plugin! I have just installed the lastest version for Squeezecenter 7.3.2 and once again, I am hearing my webcam's microphone through squeezebox. I have been into XP's audio setup from control panel and everything appears to be correct. I have no problem recording on the PC in general. I have searched and found the instructions for determining the order of audio devices and am given this: C:\PROGRA~1\SlimServer\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread>wavin2cmd.exe -l "SB Audigy 2 Audio [FF40]" "Modem #1 Line Record" "Modem #3 Line Record" "VideoMate BDA Audio Capture" "Logitech Mic (Communicate STX)" I believe that this is how it should be, so why am I hearing the Webcam's microphone? I have no other microphones plugged in and I have "What u Hear" selected as my recording input (from the soundcard mixer). Any ideas as to what could be going wrong? OK, I've installed the previous version and have had *some* success when entering hibernation but also a few failures. I suspect that it may all come down to which settings I choose and the 'keep alive timer'. It certainly doesn't stay hibernated if I hibernate to SN and then ask ServerPowerControl to bring the SB back out of SN. I'll try some more permutations over the weekend (although I won't have much time for computer/squeezebox related dabblings). I've attached my log file (which will include some successes). It won't accept any number key presses at all. Any ideas? I've switched to the 'default' interface and all is well! Thanks for your help! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Email checker for SC7?
I've installed the email checker and it shows up on the plugins page, but when I click the 'settings' link, I get the IE 'webpage cannot be found' message. Where am I going wrong? [SlimDevices: Plugins] Email checker for SC7?
Hi, I'm still running Slimserver 6.5.4 - the only thing putting me off of upgrading is the loss of my favourite plugins. I see that my favourite plugin, Weathertime should work but I fear that the email chacker plugin won't. The link to the download site for the plugin appears to be broken also. Can anybody confirm whether the email checker plugin works with SC7? Thanks, Daz PS How about the SaverSwitcher plugin? -- dazbarber dazbarber's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8088 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44731 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New WeatherTime Screensaver adds graphical forecasts
I'm using the WeatherTime Screensaver on SS 6.5.4 with Windows XP. Are there any new features in the latest version which mean I should consider upgrating my copy of WeatherTime? (My current copy dates from months ago - I'm not sure of the build number). Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Wave Input plugin v1.00
Hey - a great plugin - but I have a problem. I have the audio recording device set to 'what u hear' but no matter what I do - the microphone of my webcam gets sent to my squeezebox. However, if I start recording a wave file in an audio editing program, I get the sound I was after. Nothing seems to stop my webcam being sent to squeezebox though. Any ideas? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announcing SaverSwitcher: plugin that cycles through screensavers
The latest version is now installed on my system and it works perfectly apart from minor glitches when the WeatherDateTime screensaver is active. When this saver is visible I sometimes have trouble getting out of screensaver mode and on one occasion I had the WeatherDateTime screensaver superimposed on the analogueVU screensaver (or was it the other way around)? Thanks again for your hard work! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announcing SaverSwitcher: plugin that cycles through screensavers
I've had big problems with the latest version. I found that the display sometimes garbled when switching from analogue VU to Now Playing (screensaver during playing) and it was very difficult to disable the switching screensaver (even though it was selected only for 'screensaver while playing' at one point, it still affected 'screensaver while stopped'. It seemed fine with earlier versions though. However, I do like the ability to change screensavers by pressing a button. Could it be made to allow the user to change to a nonactive screensaver by pressing a button (ie by setting screensaver 2 to 'disable' as far as time length is concerned but still allowing a 2nd screensaver name to be selected - only screensaver 1 would show automatically but a button press would bring up screensaver 2)? Thanks for all your work on this.
